Location BELLISSIMA!
BEAUTIFUL location! Perfect for our party idea: a chic-nic with 200 people. The garden below seems perfect for a civil ceremony. The villa is very large and elegant, both in the modern interior and in the well-kept garden. The atmosphere is magical and Benedetta is absolutely exceptional, nice, helpful, always smiling and present without ever being intrusive. The rooms are very nice and there is the possibility of the swimming pool.

Villa il Cerretino was an incredible place to spend our holiday as a family. The house itself is stunning- although the size took some getting used to.. it's huge! The house is amazingly well maintained, the grounds are stunning and the pool is beautiful. It really felt like staying in a hotel rather than a house since every aspect was so well organised. They arranged breakfast for us, cleaning of the house daily, gardeners to maintain the grounds daily and a private chef for dinners and laundry service (these two were for an extra cost- but so worth it- the chef was incredible). It was really a dream holiday and easy to access Florence, Luca, forte di marmi and other amazing Tuscan sights. The manager of the house was always available to answer questions, address concerns and help with arrangements. She organised a wine tasting and massages at our request. We were 3 families (12 people in total) and the house was big enough to always feel quiet and calm. the children loved the freedom of being able to safely run around and explore the grounds. I would not only strongly recommend the house- but i would go back for sure!

There are few words to describe HOW AMAZING our experience was at Il Cerretino. We hosted family and a couple friends (13 total) for a five-night stay + our wedding in early May. The weather was colder than usual, and it rained on our wedding day —and we can still look back and say it was AMAZING! Benedetta, our host, went above and beyond. Seriously. We have traveled extensively, and it’s rare to find hosts (and people in general) who are as hospitable and accommodating as Ms. Benedetta. The entire week was planned without ever seeing the villa — so we heavily relied on Benedetta’s guidance, suggestions and accommodations. Including a last minute change of plans to host our ~50 person wedding inside. The villa has so many different rooms, beautiful art, lots of seating, and plenty of open space downstairs. We couldn’t have planned it better. Not to mention, Benedetta was so helpful in arranging all the small details that weren’t a part of her job description as a VRBO host. She truly goes out of her way to make you feel at home. As for the villa and our stay, all the guests had plenty of space in the bedrooms. The extra bed was very useful too. Would strongly recommend for couples — as there are mostly queen sized beds in each room. All the bedrooms have their own bathroom, with one exception. The courtyards (!) are stunning. You can see Florence on a clear day. We loved how secluded the villa was. There’s a grocery store within a 5 min drive, which we used several times. Plenty of cups, plates, silverware, etc. And we loved the communal spaces. The villa is kept in MINT condition - inside and out. For as old as it is, they do an excellent job keeping up with the grounds, and interior to make it feel as though it’s new. If you look in the books & magazine room, you’ll find a 1978 Vogue Home Edition magazine. The villa has a 3-4 page spread written in Italian. The photos from 1978 might as well have been from last week - furniture and all. It’s incredible how well they’ve kept up with the place. If anything did come up, they are on top of it right away. Book this villa. Get to know Benedetta and the whole staff. Enjoy your stay in Italy!

Il CERRETINO is a most impressive villa. While the structure and largesse of the property are stunning, the elegant comfort of the “home” is staggering. The total staff and the chefs became like family laughing and loving the villa experience with us. The extensive art collection is of museum quality and a wonderful coexistence with the historic property. The reality of being at the property far exceeds what was expected through the online pictures. The villa is lovingly maintained including the immaculate grounds. We were an extended family of 14 including 3 generations with 6 children ages 15-20. The villa more than adequately accommodated us all. The large bedrooms with air conditioning were appreciated in the very hot August. It’s truly hard to find the adjectives that adequately describe our memorable stay at Villa Il Cerretino..

Where to begin? This home is heaven. I visited in late May with a group of 10 friends and we had the most wonderful time. The property and home are appropriately represented in the photos, but what the images can’t capture is the impeccable degree of hospitality offered by Benedetta, the property manager, and her staff. She went beyond offering us local tips and helped us set up transportation, assisted with grocery shopping, and even delivered a birthday cake to the house when I hadn’t even mentioned that we would be celebrating mine during our stay. The weather during our trip was less than ideal, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the Tuscan countryside, visiting the town center (where we ate delicious pizza at Benedetta’s recommendation) and swimming in the pool. Even in the rain, it was blissful to open the shutters in the morning to a stunning view of the Italian countryside and to hear the birds singing. The home has fascinating history and even on our last day here, we were still discovering new rooms and corridors. If you plan to travel around, we definitely recommend a car, though we also could’ve stayed happily within the property walls for months. Our group would recommend this Airbnb for any occasion and we all hope to be back here, sooner rather than later.

We stayed at the Villa Il Cerretino in June 2017 for my husbands birthday. We had an incredible stay! The rooms were very big and each room had their own bathroom. The air conditioning worked great and the living areas were very big and spacious. Benedetta organized chef dinners, wine tastings, transportation and a cooking class at the Villa. The staff was amazing, the Villa was cleaned every day and breakfast was set up every morning. The pool was perfect. Brand new, with great chairs for laying out. I can not say enough wonderful things about this property. It is so special. We will absolutely return. Perfect for any Tuscan stay!

What an amazing property and experience in Tuscany. We rented Villa Il Cerretino in June for 1 week. We were 2 families traveling with young kids (ages 5-9) and a nanny, so 9 of us total. We couldn't begin to fill the house - it's absolutely massive and the pictures don't show half of it. The room accommodations are set up perfectly for a larger group. We had lots of privacy and space to spread out. The pool area is lovely and the grounds are huge with lots of room for the kids to run and play. It's all very self-contained also, which is great for families with smaller children who like to roam. The best part was the service - Benedetta and her team are absolutely top notch. No ask is too much. She took care of everything, from arranging tours and local dinner reservations, to daily breakfast service and a private chef for dinners at the villa. I had planned to do a lot of this planning legwork myself, but Benedetta handled everything and made it so easy for me. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone traveling to Tuscany. It's great for families and larger groups. It's close enough to Florence and the surrounding villages for convenience, but tucked far enough in the hillside to feel removed from the hustle below.
