Il suo proprietario, Raffaele Guariglia ambasciatore italiano, facente parte dell'Ordine di Malta e Ministro degli Esteri del Governo Badoglio, donò la struttura all'Amministrazione Provinciale di Salerno per un "Centro Studi". La struttura si compone, oltre che della villa, di una antica chiesetta, del torretta belvedere e di un grande parco con vista sul mare di Vietri. The complex of Villa Guariglia houses the interesting Provincial Museum of Ceramics with unique pieces of a religious and devotional nature, pottery for everyday use from the nineteenth century and finally objects from the "German period". Its owner, Raffaele Guariglia, Italian ambassador, part of the Order of Malta and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Badoglio Government, donated the structure to the Provincial Administration of Salerno for a "Study Center". The structure consists, in addition to the villa, of an ancient church, the belvedere tower and a large park overlooking the sea of Vietri.

È così bella ma è tutto abbandonato a se, giardino, struttura ecc. Sono presenti solo 2 stanze al piano terra adibite a museo delle ceramiche. Mi piangeva il cuore vedere una villa così bella con un panorama fantastico in quelle brutte condizioni A magically beautiful structure, enchanting to say the least. I would have expected anything but from what I saw. It is so beautiful but it is all left to itself, garden, structure etc. There are only 2 rooms on the ground floor used as a museum of ceramics. My heart cried to see such a beautiful villa with a fantastic view in those bad conditions
