I began looking for a short cooking class in taormina while at home in Toronto. My eyes kept coming back to the Villa Brittania site and I am so happy they did. Once in Taormina I called the Villa and spoke to Luisa who owns and runs this charming Inn. She was so accommodating, of course she would make room for one more tomorrow night! Yay! I was thrilled, and when I arrived was even more enchanted as I ascended the steps to the lovely home she and her husband Marco have there. The hands on cooking experience was phenomenal. We were guilded by the Chef as we prepped the ingredients for 4 dishes. All sicilian, stuffed fresh anchovies, sauce for the pasta Alla Norma and we also hand made the macaroni typically served with this sauce. We then rolled finely sliced swordfish and screened them, finally the fennel, orange and sweet red onion salad. It was a most memorable experience in every way. We three newly dubbed chefs were served on the outside terrace, surrounded by greenery of all kinds. Each course paired brilliantly by Marco who knows his wines! The meal was outstanding to say this least! I would have taken another class if we were staying on in Taormina but this time I was fortunate enough to be blessed by this magical night. Luisa you are on my list indefinitely, I will be by this was again and I will stay with you in your cosy inviting home for sure! Dessert, a ricotta crostata served with a home made mandating liquor which was heaven! What a lovely night we had! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

We couldn't ask for a better place to stay in beautiful Taormina. Louisa and Marco were the perfect hosts - from the minute we arrived, they couldn't do enough for us. They helped us with booking restaurants and a Mount Etna tour. Upon knowing that we were on our honeymoon, they left a bottle of bubbly in our mini fridge for us to enjoy on the lovely terrace! The villa itself is beautiful, clean and very well-maintained. We loved it so much that we extended our stay in Taormina. Grazie Louisa and Marco! ** note that google maps driving directions are wrong. It only takes you to a roundabout, then you have to follow walking directions to the villa itself (you can take your car directly to the villa where parking is available)

What a great find. Off the main drag just a few hundred meters, quiet, relaxing, exquisite flowers and aromatic atmosphere all create the feeling of a private rental. We enjoyed an amazing cooking class, giant, modern rooms, free run of the common areas, and the gracious hospitality of Louisa and Marco. Stay here now, thank me a doppo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend it to anyone! We were met with the most exceptional service from Marco, one of the owners, who made us feel completely at home with complimentary wine and friendly helpful nature. He even came to meet us in Taormino so he can help direct us in convoy to the the villa. The room was fantastic. Large, spaciaous and with it's own balcony and en-suite bathroom. It has phenominal views of the sea and neighborhood especially at sunrise. The only thing to fault our stay was that we only staying one night! Grazie Villa Britannia!

Spent 4 days at this lovely place in August β€˜17 and wish to go back ever since. The owners took such great care of us (and the place) yet still gave us privacy. My girlfriend had her birthday during our stay and they arranged the sweetest in-room breakfast. If I ever open a B&B, I would go for a copy paste. (By the way, no need to bother leaving the Villa - Taormina doesn’t deserve it....unless hiking Castelmola).

We stayed at the beautiful Villa Britannia for 5 wonderful days. We can’t say enough good things about the place, the hosts (Marco & Louisa) and the cooking class. We were two couples, so had both rooms, and the house to ourselves. The rooms and service were exceptional. Marco put out a lovely unbelievable breakfast each morning, Louisa hosted our cooking class, and we enjoyed everything tremendously. Would highly recommend the Villa Britannia for anyone staying in Taormina. We hated to leave.

The only accommodation we would come back to for the second time, and fly half the Europe for it. We will probably also do it! Loved every moment and we think often back at it - so do yourself a favour and book it without overthinking. Same for the cooking class, worth the every euro!

Our family of four loved Louisa’s cooking class! She tailored the menu to our tastes and each meal was outstanding. She shared our dishes with her Bed and Breakfast guests, and we were able to enjoy the results of our cooking with them for lunch. All gave us rave reviews and shared their thanks with us and our kids (who felt very proud!). Thank you for such an outstanding and memorable Sicilian cooking experience!
