l	lair of travelers IG on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il mare e la spiaggia si sono giudicate ben nove bandiere blu della comunità europea, ma a fare bello Porto San Giorgio sono soprattutto la rocca duecentesca, a forma di quadrilatero con mastio di torri e merli guelfi e sede di manifestazioni culturali teatrali, e le numerose ville, tra le quali villa Bonaparte. Costruita su richiesta del fratello di Napoleone, Girolamo Bonaparte, che soggiornò a porto San Giorgio tra il 1829 e il 1832, venne realizzata in stile neoclassico e dedicata alla sorella minore Caterina. La costruzione presenta ancora oggi nella facciata esterna decorazioni con bassorilievi e altorilievi di trofei d’armi ed è circondata da un parco di notevoli dimensioni. All’interno le istanze pregevolmente affrescate, ospitano numerosi mobili in stile impero dell’epoca, posati su un pavimento in graniglia che presenta decorazioni a mosaico. Oltre alle altre ville in stile liberty , porto S. Giorgio propone al visitatore il teatro Vittorio Emanuele II, inaugurato nel 1816, con il sipario storico raffigurante l’ingresso del re nella piazza principale della cittadina, e il porto turistico-peschereccio, il più grande approdo da diporto dell’Adriatico. L’ultima settimana di luglio si celebra la festa del mare, dove vengono eseguite in una padella gigante spettacolari fritture di quintali di calamaretti. Tre stelle solo xchè la struttura è molto in disuso, si vede che la normale manutenzione non viene fatta; capisco anche che per queste strutture fare manutenzione costa 10 volte di più e servono ditte e permessi particolari. Spero miglioreranno nei prossimi anni. It's not bad, but it depends a lot on the catering. C	Cristian Veroli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una Villa Storica,Più volte ristrutturata e con lavori in corso nelle entrate ,ampi spazi immersi nel verde,curati e puliti,Buffet all'aperto con camerieri molto gentili e preparati,interni dell'edificio storici con affreschi a volta e dipinti in tutti i vani,scale e stanze,queste ultime di medie dimensioni,ottime per un centinaio di persone,il pranzo è stato lungo ,delle pietanze ottime e raffinate nei particolare,unica nota stonata il condimento di pomodoro acido sulle pietanze,giornata molto bella e solare,buon posto per passeggiare e passare una giornata.
