Perfect costumer service in Venice. The person who attended me, Giada, was very attentive and careful in the service. Everything was resolved in a professional manner, from beginning to end. I got a tote bag as gift, which I found very thoughtful. I definitely recommend it. Thank you.

I was hesitant which rating to put since the local branch was OK (although for example on the day of return they were not there during their office hours). But the company itself and especially their communication is dreadful. They "forgot" to pick us up from airport to the office (or the comunicate pickup in any way) due to mistake in their reservation system (as explained by the local branch in Venezia that it sometimes happens when reserving through their website). We wanted refund of public transport we needed to use instead (lost time and nerves are hard to refund). But they just ignored all our request. We contacted several times the main company email, their reservation and refund office directly (got email address from Venezia branch) but nothing. Nothing for months and more emails. They just decide to ignore you. Before reservation they were replying. After, when we had problem to solve, they dissapeard like after some magic trick. Thanks only to the Venezia local branch which was communicating with us, but could not process our request themselves. In general the most arrogant approach I ever encountered with a car rental company. To sum it up: fine car but if you happen to have any issue, this is not a place where they will help you. Or treat you as a customer. Or human. UPDATE: To your absurd reaction - you can clearly see my name and surname from Google profile, so this is very lame excuse. But OK, here is my reservation number VIAG 5565 D955821A. You just again demonstrated blaming everything to customer and no real investigation (it is not really common practice to share full reservation details in reviews as this is very personal information). I'm waiting (already 9 months) for your reply, since now you have everything and cannot make any excuses. I will keep this review updated if the company contacted me or not. UPDATE II: It just takes one bad review to finally get a reply. In their email, they unfortunately cannot find 18 euros in their budget for a refund. Allegedly due to fiscal reasons. Their can only offer discount, requiring me to rent a car with them again (meaning paying them again). I'm not planning to go to Italy soon and definitely will not trust company that cannot refund 18, even after admitting their error.

On March 25, we rented a Fiat 500 from the Viaggiare Rent office in Olbia in Sardinia. We only drove on normal roads, but nevertheless got a flat tire. We had it repaired at our own expense, but despite this Viaggiare Rent had two new tires fitted when we returned the car. Not only was the car better than before we rented it, but we also got a bill for €559 euros. That is more than 250% more expensive than a normal garage would calculate. Viaggiare Rent should bear the cost of new tires itself and certainly not charge such an extreme price. This is a huge disappointment for any tourist and a reason not to come back.

BEWARE EXTRA CLEANING CHARGES! I hired a car from Viaggiare rent at Pescara airport this month for 1 week. On arrival to the airport the check-out of the car was quite substantial and time consuming and anyone of an older generation would struggle to complete this as the process is to be completed via a smart phone. There are numerous car rental companies within the airport in a line, and by the time all the other companies had cleared their lines, Viaggiare had served two customers in their equal ques. The lady on the desk comes across as demanding and did not explain any of the documents (not written in English) just stating "sign there" "send this”, “company policy", "auto sign".  I initially put this down to not being a fluent English speaker (I didn't expect anything more, I'm in Italy of course), however please remember this point for later. Approximately 1 hour later, the details were complete and I collected my hire car, a fiat 500 and despite my experience with   viaggiare being an overall negative experience, the car itself was a great drive for my trip. On return to the airport, the office was supposed to open a 08:30, we arrived and Italian nationals were before us in the queue, at 08:45 the office was still closed, thus the gentleman in front of myself  contacted the numbers provided on the door and was advised to put the keys in an available post-box on the wall. I had arrived in plenty of time for my flight, thus remained with my keys until the shop opened, to ensure accurate and smooth return of the vehicle (I had read previous reviews about unexpected bills, thus wanted to be sure). Finally, the office opened and we completed the return of the car which included an inspection of the car... with a fine toothcomb. All fine, no "damages", however then I was informed "you'll be charged €25 euro for the cleaning of you car". The car was not dirty inside apart from foot marks in the footwell, I mean without car mats (there were 0 in the vehicle) how am I supposed to prevent footmarks (from street dust) in the footwell from getting in / out the vehicle, where else am i supposed to out my feet? Who carries a vacuum cleaner when on holiday? Amongst myself were many other customers and I very soon noticed from observation that anyone of a non-Italian nationality were having handover issues - being charged for "damages" over the pettiest of things that would naturally happen when driving a car on a road (tar spots). It seemed that the lady member of staff checking the vehicle was purposely trying to find faults / damages with the vehicles. Customers of a non-Italian nationality were being asked "do you have full insurance?" before the vehicles were even checked, which made me worry that they may be taking advantage of tourists and I wouldn't be shocked if this company appeared in the media for fraudulent claims. Yet anyone Italian (from my personal observation) literally walked over spoke in Italian and walked off without issues. I may also add, the lady that I believed couldn't speak much English, spoke perfect English when telling people how much she was charging for damages / taking from their credit cards. And also spoke amazing English when telling parents who were clearly miffed with their charges how to speak in front of their own children, thus my original encounter with her is believed to have been pure ignorance whom lacks customer service skills. I did challenge my cleaning fee, and explained I was never informed that I would have to pay for the car to be cleaned, however following the observations of how they were treating other non-Italian nationals, I thought it best to stop arguing, agree to the €25 euro cleaning fee, in the fear that I would also become a target for excessive, further claims / charges. Please if you have a booking with this company, consider other options or ensure your credit card has a high credit limit. Expect a cleaning charge at the mininum. Oh.. and I dread to think what charges I would have encountered had I put my keys in that post box.

Avoid! Proper scammers! No marks on car document where old scratches are and they are masked so when returning the vehicle they hit you with mega charges on small defects which customers did not see on collection. Keep your eyes open!
