Bellissimo negozio dove ad aprile ho acquistato una maglia in pizzo molto bella per mia figlia. La maglia si è rivelata di ottima qualità sia per la fattezza che per il tessuto. Ringrazio il negozio per la gentilezza e la competenza nell'avermi consigliato e aiutato a scegliere un capo così bello ad un prezzo davvero irrisorio.

After buying a lovely scarf, the lady owner of this shop, explained how Venetian masks are made, and I purchased a stunning hand painted piece if workmanship. Signed inside also!!

Very helpful and friendly owner. Although we didn't buy anything he referred us to a great restaurant on the next island over for fish risotto. We were not disappointed. Thank you!

Although called (in Italiano) "the lace of Letizia" the store offer much more than just fine lace. There is women's clothing and quite a bit of glass jewelry from the nearby island of Murano. The store itself is therefore very typical of a tourist shop. The difference is the staff! When my wife, Gaelynn, and I went there in Mid-November 2014 we were just intending to browse. However, the clerk dutifully showed my wife several outfits and mixed and matched scarves and let her try on several combinations all very patiently. I became engaged with Davide who was running the cash register. He is a wonderful, open and opinionated personality! We discussed Italian politics and corruption (which he can't abide) and he also showed us a "locals" catalog of all the current glass makers of Murano and explained which ones were his favorites and which ones would let you watch them work and which ones were snobby. Davide is either the brother or cousin (I can't recall which) to the owner Letizia who was away on business. Davide plays a very active part in the family business by designing some of the beaded bracelets and necklaces himself and then contracting out the work to the local craftspeople of Murano. He explained that he often will purchase in bulk so that he can pass the savings on to his customers. At the end of our visit, the saleswoman told my wife that if she paid in cash (euros) instead of a credit card as my wife intended,she would take 5 euros off the price. This brought her 3-piece outfit down to a very reasonable 35 euros. And, to top it off, Davide gave her one of the 6-euro bracelets she had been eyeing! Extremely generous people with true character. I highly recommend I Merletti Di Letizia!
