H	Hilke, Hermann und Rowena on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir haben vor einer Woche wieder eine Tour mit Fiona gebucht, nachdem wir im letzten Jahr mit ihr auf den Spuren von Comissario Brunetti gewandelt sind. Diesmal führte uns ein Spaziergang durch das Viertel San Polo mit einer anschließenden Bootstour. Fiona hat uns zwei Stunden so wunderbar zu Fuß und Boot durch die Stadt geführt, wir denken noch immer an dieses wunderschöne Erlebnis und träumen uns in Gedanken zurück nach Venedig. Wir haben wunderbare Einblicke in die Geschichte und das Leben Venedigs erhalten, wirklich lebendig und voller Leidenschaft erzählt, dass man alles um sich fast vergessen konnte und in eine andere Zeit abtauchen konnte. Wir sind wieder wahnsinnig begeistert von Fionas unermesslichem Wissen und ihrer herzlichen Art. Vielen, vielen Dank und bis zum nächsten Mal.

Fiona hat uns beinahe 3 Stunden wunderbar durch die Stadt geleitet, ihr literarisches Wissen gekonnt mit der Geschichte Venedigs verknüpft - uns war keine Sekunde langweilig! Schauplätze der Filme, als auch jene der Bücher wurden uns gezeigt. Es war wirklich ein wunderschönes Erlebnis. Größte Empfehlung!!!! I got a tour of Donna Leon's Venice for my birthday. Fiona guided us through the city for almost 3 hours, skillfully combining her literary knowledge with the history of Venice - we weren't bored for a second! The locations of the films as well as those of the books were shown to us. It was really a wonderful experience. Biggest recommendation !!!!

Sie ist sehr gut auf die Kinder eingegangen (im Alter von 8-15 Jahren) und es war für alle eine tolle u interessante Führung. We were in Venice with children and had a guided tour in the Doge's Palace with Fiona. She dealt very well with the children (ages 8-15) and it was a great and interesting tour for everyone.

M	Martin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir hatten nicht viel Zeit und wollten das Wichtigste aber auch versteckte Ecken von Venedig kennenlernen. Bei unseren Internetrecherchen sind wir auf das Angebot von Fiona gestoßen und wir haben es nicht bereut. Schon vom ersten Kontakt an (per Mail und Telefon) fühlten wir uns rundum aufgehoben. Die Tour an sich war dann perfekt. Pünktlichst am Hotel abgeholt. Dann eine Stunde mit sehr exklusivem Wassertaxi durch die kleinen Kanäle und viele interessante Informationen über Venedig. Dann 2 Stunden zu Fuß fernab der Touristenströme (Markusplatz haben wir bewusst ausgespart) und wieder viele schöne Einblicke in die Geschichte, Kultur und das Leben Venedigs. Und alles in perfektem Deutsch! Insgesamt hat Fiona mit ihrem Wissen und ihrer Art überzeugt, weshalb wir sie uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. We didn't have much time and wanted to get to know the most important but also hidden corners of Venice. During our internet research we came across Fiona's offer and we haven't regretted it. From the first contact (by email and phone) we felt that we were in good hands. The tour itself was perfect. Picked up at the hotel on time. Then an hour with a very exclusive water taxi through the small canals and lots of interesting information about Venice. Then a 2 hour walk away from the tourist crowds (we deliberately left out St. Mark's Square) and again many beautiful insights into the history, culture and life of Venice. And everything in perfect German! Overall, Fiona convinced with her knowledge and manner, which is why we recommend her unreservedly.

Besides the highlights like Saint Mark's Square, the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and Prison, we enjoyed visiting the atelier of a maskmaker, a gondola yard and finished with a private boat ride on the Grand Canal.

My friend and I had reached out to Fiona because we, as artists were very interested in the tradition of "marbelized" papers. Fiona introduced us to the most renowned artist in this historic tradition and he allowed us to visit his studio and learn some of the techniques. All along our walk to the studio she shared history of Venice and information on every neighborhood. She connected us to other artisans and was willing to answer our questions via email even when we were not touring with her. I only spent a few hours with her but I think of Fiona as a friend - a very bright, informed, generous friend. I HIGHLY recommend Fiona as a guide to get the most out of your visit to Venice!
