Dall'antipasto al dolce abbiamo gustato piatti semplici genuini cucinati con cura. Complimenti anche per la gentilezza del personale che lavora con passione e si vede! Had lunch today for the first time..and we will definitely be back! What to say? ..all perfect! From appetizer to dessert we enjoyed simple genuine dishes cooked with care. Il ristorante invece è gestito da personale giovane che si' propone menù della tradizione ma rivisitato con un occhio di modernità. Io ho preso l'ottimo antipasto a base di salumi, vitello tonnato, peperone alla bagna cauda e tomino, dei meravigliosi tagliolini al ragù di cinghiale e un'arrosto con prugne e patate, e un interessante dessert a base di mele cotte nel passito e cannella con gelato alla vaniglia, il tutto innaffiato dall'ottimo Sizzano doc. Servizio senza pecche e conto equilibrato. The adjective "old" is perhaps due to the fact that the location is an old renovated railing house. The restaurant, on the other hand, is run by young staff who propose traditional menus but revisited with an eye for modernity. I had the excellent appetizer based on cured meats, veal with tuna sauce, pepper with bagna cauda and tomino, some wonderful tagliolini with wild boar sauce and a roast with plums and potatoes, and an interesting dessert based on apples cooked in passito and cinnamon with vanilla ice cream, all washed down with the excellent Sizzano doc. Flawless service and balanced bill.

Posto al piano terra di quello che viene definito un "cassero aperto" cioè una costruzione con le strutture portanti, un tetto e la mancanza di muri su un lato ove veniva stivato il fieno, il locale è bene tenuto con decorazioni in stile araldico sul muro al lato dell'ingresso posto su una piazzetta che funge anche da parcheggio per i commensali. Il personale, per quanto limitato, è cortese e discretamente preparato. Ci viene servito un calice di prosecco come aperitivo ed un appetizers come entrée. Il menù è misurato ed equilibrato. Le caserecce ai funghi ed il brasato con polenta sono fuori menù e proposti per la momentanea disponibilità di funghi e carne di manzo adatta. Tutto è ben preparato per quanto un po' convenzionale. Buona la torte cioccolato e pere. C'è attenzione alla normativa anti Covid: formaggio, sale, pane e grissini sono in buste singole ed il menù è plastificato. I servizi igienici sono puliti ed ordinati. Nel complesso un locale decoroso con preparazione attenta delle vivande; forse un po' convenzionale e con pietanze preparate con materie prime standard. I prezzi, anche dei vini, sono corretti. On the fifth attempt, I managed to book a table in this place on the outskirts of Sizzano. Located on the ground floor of what is called an "open formwork" that is a building with load-bearing structures, a roof and the lack of walls on one side where the hay was stowed, the room is well maintained with heraldic-style decorations on the wall to the side of the entrance placed on a small square that also serves as a parking lot for diners. The staff, although limited, is courteous and discreetly trained. We are served a glass of prosecco as an aperitif and an appetizers as an entrée. The menu is measured and balanced. The caserecce pasta with mushrooms and braised meat with polenta are off the menu and offered due to the temporary availability of suitable mushrooms and beef. Everything is well prepared although somewhat conventional. Good chocolate and pear cakes. There is attention to the anti Covid legislation: cheese, salt, bread and breadsticks are in single bags and the menu is plasticized. The toilets are clean and tidy. Overall a decent place with careful preparation of the food; perhaps a little conventional and with dishes prepared with standard raw materials. The prices, even of the wines, are correct.
