★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely disgusting bathrooms. The men's toilet looked like 4 rugby teams worth of men dropped off last night's curries across the place. Every single stall had toilets backed up with human waste and toilet paper. Id rather mess my pants on the flight than spend a single minute in that bathroom. It's no wonder Italy had the worst breakout if this is how they treat santitation in their airports.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Over the past 20 years this airport has gone backwards instead of growing. Chaotic and mismanaged no matter the minuscule size of it and extremely small number of flights. Constant constructions have been in place over the years but no improvement is noticeable. Even the parking signage is poor. The boarding process by bus is just ridiculous nowadays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Airport is indeed tiny, but the people who work at the lounge are the sweetest Italians every, very welcoming, very polite. Plus the airport looks great form the outside, kind of like a fairy tail castle

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Usual check in and security. Quite efficient. The problem comes after the passport had been checked. Several flights all grouped together in a too small an area. Social distancing impossible. Enough seats for less than half the people so standing around for a long time. Boarding involves going to a completely open area on the tarmac and then waiting another ten minutes for the bus to come and take you to the plane. This is so reminiscent of French airports from the turn of the century. It was unacceptable then and more so today. We had ski clothes on so less of a problem especially as the weather was bright but come on Verona aren't you embarrassed by this situation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So, apparently to aid with social distancing in each set of 4 chairs there is a sticker saying do not use this chair for social distancing reason, yet the gates are so close together, there is only seating for about 3 rows worth of passengers. Then everyone is crowded in a small space. Hardly socially distanced.
If passport control was immediately after baggage control, there would be significantly more space for all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, for sure it cannot be considered among the most beautiful Italian airports.....
And, again, for sure a city as Verona would indeed deserve a much better airport.
It does it works, it has a convenient location. But nothing more than that.
Let's see once the ongoing works are completed (if and when), hoping in real improvements.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The airport doesn't support QR code boarding pass, so remember to come earlier to pick them up at the company you're flying with. Security took ages, with only one lane open in the last day of a major holiday. At least the bus there goes by the city centre and it's pretty quick!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy airport to fly in and out of. Small enough to not have crowds and hectic attitudes, large enough to have delicious foods, drinks and gifts to bring to friends. Currently under construction.
