★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una bella camminata da Cicogna, accolti dalla gentilezza e dal desiderio di comunicare di una dolce nonnina che si possono incrociare solo in questi splenditi paesi di montagna, sino a Pogallo. I paesaggi della Val Grande con la loro selvaggia bellezza non tradiscono mai. La fatica della salita è un rispettoso dono alla fatica e all'ingegno di coloro che hanno abitato questi luoghi. Boscaioli di grande capacità. Buona la cartellonistica predisposta dall'Ente Parco.
 A nice walk from Cicogna, welcomed by the kindness and desire to communicate of a sweet granny who can only cross in these splendid mountain villages, up to Pogallo. The landscapes of the Val Grande with their wild beauty never betray. The fatigue of the climb is a respectful gift to the fatigue and ingenuity of those who have inhabited these places. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Era la prima volta che entravo in Valgrande ho fatto il giro ad anello passando dalla casa dell'Alpino per poi scendere a Pogallo e rientro dal sentiero che costeggia rio Pogallo, bel trekking immerso in un ambiente selvaggio , sentiero ben segnalato, tornerò presto x altra immersione in questo ambiente fantastico.

Pogallo d'Ungiasca, così è citato su antichi documenti, fu per secoli uno dei principali corti maggengali delle comunità di Cossogno e Ungiasca. Una cinquantina di stalle e casere circondate da pascoli e coltivi, da cui in estate pastori e mandrie partivano per salire agli alpeggi dell'alta valle.
Ma fu con Carlo Sutermeister che Pogallo divenne quasi un piccolo paese, con la scuola, i carabinieri, ospedaletto, il telefono di servizio della teleferica e addirittura la luce elettrica.
A Pogallo il Sutermeister fece costruire anche un edificio, oggi in rovina, che all'epoca ospitava le famiglie dei tecnici e degli impiegati nonchè l'ufficio della ditta. Comparvero anche parecchie baracche in legno per i boscaioli, lo spaccio alimentari e l'osteria. Dopo gli orrori della guerra, ancora qualche decennio e, nel 1962, i boschi della Val Pogallo furono abbandonati al loro naturale. destino.
Pogallo yesterday and today
Pogallo d'Ungiasca, as it is quoted in ancient documents, was for centuries one of the main courts of the communities of Cossogno and Ungiasca. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luogo magico, il tempo qui si è fermato. Natura incontaminata, pratoni, gole selvagge. La Val Grande è unica, una bellezza selvaggia, primordiale. Come tale va rispettata e temuta.
Nel nostro giro abbiamo avuto un paio di incontri da adrenalina pura, cinghiali e vipere.... Un giro che ricorderete, profuma di vera avventura.
Magical place, time has stopped here. Uncontaminated nature, meadows, wild gorges. Val Grande is unique, a wild, primordial beauty. As such it must be respected and feared.
In our tour we had a couple of encounters of pure adrenaline, wild boars and vipers .... A tour that you will remember, smells of real adventure.
