Ma sono qui solo perché volevo rivedere il punto in cui ho incrociato per la prima volta lo sguardo di mio marito, nel 2011. Ora lui non c'è più. Ma quel giorno eravamo allo stesso vernissage, da Ulisse. E ho alzato lo sguardo e lui mi fissava nella folla, ridendo. Non ci eravamo mai visti prima. E ci siamo innamorati quella sera, fra le opere monocromatiche e la sua spavalderia. Non sono più tornata da Ulisse Gallery e oggi ci sono "passata davanti" con street view e non è stato meno forte. Anche se lui è più qui, per me resta sempre lì, sulla porta della galleria, uno sconosciuto che sorride proprio a me fra la folla.
Well, it's not really a review, mine. I can say that the gallery is of the highest level, yes. But I'm only here because I wanted to review the point where I met my husband's gaze for the first time, in 2011. Now he's gone. But that day we were at the same vernissage, from Ulysses. And I looked up and he was staring at me in the crowd, laughing. We had never met before. And we fell in love that evening, between the monochromatic works and its swagger. I never came back from Ulisse Gallery and today I "passed in front" with street view and it was no less strong. Although he is more here, a stranger who smiles right at me in the crowd is always there for me in the gallery door.
