Upon arriving there was a queue, which is ok, but people(2) who arrived after us(2) were sat down earlier. Impossible to grab their attention, got plainly ignored.
Once we sat down we were able to order after around 10 minutes. Meanwhile a drunkish looking guy was singing and shouting next to the tables. He turned out to be a waiter.
We ordered some bruschettas and pizzabread and 2 sodas. People that arrived after us were served - by the same waiter - before us. The bruschettas arrived after another 20 minutes, quite burned, so they probably should have given them to us 5 minutes earlier. Spoiler warning: the pizzabread never did.
Meanwhile the singing ordeal continued, as 90ies trance hits were sung a capella (very poorly) by our drunk and loud friend. As we cut out the edible parts of the bruschettas, we were also cutting out parts of our soul - as this was the worst experience we've had in Italy (and in general). We should have listened to our gut feeling when waiting in the queue. Breaking the crust in parts and stuffing them in our ears was becoming a realistic option. When we asked about the pizzabread the answer said the same ("it's coming, it's coming")
After around 60 minutes we decided to forget about the pizzabread and asked for the bill - and we were asked "with or without" which apparently meant with or without the pizzabread. Upon trying to pay my girlfriend was being touched on her jewelry saying it was so pretty, and "she should try and smile". Nothing to smile about here.
The only positive thing I can think of are the prices of the wine, one liter for 5 euro - so you can drown your freshly acquired misery.
Maybe they were having an off day, maybe it's better to avoid this place like the plague. 4.1? An 1.4 would be a more suitable rating. Activities such as slowly cutting off your own ears with a nail clipper are more fun than this.

β β β β β My favourite restaurant in all of Rome. Hearty, homemade traditional pasta and pizza are absolutely delicious. Good prices too. It's a must for when you're in Rome. There might be a queue during busy times, but it's certainly worth the wait.

β β β β β Amazing food and even better service. The owner is the stereotypical singing Italian you see in the movies. He really creates a welcoming environment. I was solo and didnβt even feel like it.

β β β β β Good service, everything is fast enough. Whole pizza costs from 6 to 8 euros. They have a wood-burning stove. Pastes also cost from 6 to 8 euros. Delicious homemade wine! For 5 euros you get 1 liter. They also took Tiramisu - the cream is simply divine.

β β β β β The restaurant was very cheap although its located just few minutes away from colosseum. It would be better if the service was more professional, and the food was simple but tasty. Overall considering the prices it's a good option

β β β β β Nice atmosphere but very average food, low price low quality food, definitely doesnβt feel home made like other restaurants. Vibe is good though and staff is lovely with fast service. Paid β¬6-8 per plate of pasta and β¬5 per wine.

β β β β β We went at Trattoria Luzzi for lunch on our first day at Rome. It was recommended by the owner of the guest house we were staying at. It was crowded since it was lunch but we were offered a table and english menu promptly. The food was really good. We have no complaints. And the staff were very attentive, coming to us every now and then to check if we need anything else or if any order still hasn't arrived.
