We had booked a table for 2 and arrived a few minutes before, however, we were left waiting outside with no response for 20mins despite getting the attention of the staff. We were finally taken to our table after confronting the waitress again. She later excused herself for the long wait. Yet we waited another 15mins to get the bill.
Food came in no time and was delicious at least (apart from the bread which was a bit stale).
Ambience is nice and prices reasonable, being in the main square.

β β β β β Absolutely the most WONDERFUL place to go for an authentic and local Italian meal. The restaurant is family-owned and focuses on flavor, rather than glitz (although, the presentation of the meals are something to behold in and of themselves). The food is incredibly aromatic and the senses are invigorated with every single bite. In a similar vein, they offer a nice variety of wines from across Umbria and the surrounding regions focusing on flavors native to areas. From the antipasto to the wine to the desserts, you will NOT be disappointed, not only in the food, but the service as well. The service is just as fantastic in that you are ALWAYS greeted with a genuinely warm smile into the intimate and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. If possible, I would give MORE stars! This is a MUST VISIT not only when you are in Assisi, but in Italy, in general!

β β β β β Few days ago I have visited Assisi. Unlikely to most of my visits here the city was desolated. Eventually all interesting restaurants were closed. What a relief Trattoria was opened! Fantastic veal. My daughter had great chicken. Very friendly service. And digitally enhanced:) They could show you a picture of the dish to consider.

I bumped into my airbnb host βΊοΈ the food is just mind-blowing and they are so kind to change my wine after knowing the first glass wasnβt really fitting my taste.
