★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best - if not the best - in Manciano. We are bacon wrapped polenta with rosemary and oil, wild boar with polenta, and eggplant parmigiana. We completed our meal with house wine, a ricotta and cherry jam sbriciolata and a semifreddo with chocolate and almonds.
The owners were friendly, the place cozy and the views breathtaking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I chose Trattoria da Paolino after reading all of the rave reviews on TripAdvisor and finding out they accommodate vegan guests - they did not disappoint!
The ristorante is small and quaint, so I would certainly recommend making a reservation beforehand.
I am a vegan / eat a plant-based diet, which is not always easy. Although they don’t have a wide selection for vegans, they were willing to make some substitutions based on what I wanted. Sadly, a good portion of their pastas contain egg (which is disappointing) so I was limited to the one pasta they make in house and eliminated the pancetta. They had no vegan options for dessert, and the typical side dishes you would expect in Italy for Vegans - roasted potatoes, beans, salad or fresh/grilled vegetables.
They delivered bread to the table, but it tasted stale and dry. We also had a fresh tomato bruschetta, fagioli, wine, grappa and espresso.
The service was incredible - one of the women spoke English and assisted with our menu choices. The other was extremely attentive. Our plates were cleared immediately, and drinks delivered promptly. The staff were friendly and spoke with us for a time before we left.
I believe we ended up paying €56 total for 2 people to have an appetizer, pasta dish, side dish, bottle of wine, water, shot of grappa and espresso - which is on par for a tourist region.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited them a few years ago and I have been meaning to give them a 10/10 review. They are the nicest bunch they were able to seat us and we were party of 6. The food was delicious and the wine was great. I highly recommend the boar! Once the pandemic is over I’ll come back.
