Abbaiamo cenato nella veranda. Personale gentile e preciso, piuttosto celere. Cibo semplice, cucinato bene. Tagliere misto carino, gli affettati saporiti, poco formaggio, solo una fettina, ma gustoso. Le tartine morbide e stuzzicose. Torta al testo molto abbondante e calda, anche in quantità eccessiva. Strangozzi al tartufo nero alla giusta cottura, porzione soddisfacente. Ci aspettavamo una grattugiata a lamelle, sopra alla pasta, di impatto visivo attraente, ma va bene anche con solo del tartufo sbriciolato. ( Come in foto ) Cinghiale alla cacciatora buono, morbido, con gli aromi rosmarino, limone e pepe ben calibrati. Pizze grandi, leggermente fini e croccanti. Farina prodotta nei pressi della trattoria, macinata a pietra nel mulino del paese. Grechetto sfuso buono, solo l'avremmo voluto molto più fresco. Rosso della casa ok. Conto adeguato alla location ed al cibo consumato. Solo due consigli migliorativi: il tendone verde sulla veranda , oltre a proteggere dal sole e dall'aria della sera, oscura una vista a mio parere bucolica sui campi sottostanti: sarebbe quindi una soluzione ideale, una semplice parete mobile in plexiglass con tenda coprisole avvolgibile. Secondo: i piatti andrebbero leggermente aggiornati nella loro presentazione: esempio, gli strangozzi con una spolverata di pepe sul piatto e tre gocce di salsa di prezzemolo o basilico, per dare un minimo di colore. Senza stravolgere!? Il cinghiale, con una mini rondella di polenta di accompagnamento e tre pomodorini datterini confit molto semplici, dal costo basso, sarebbero stati capaci di apparire sicuramente bene! Comunque un'esperienza piacevole, nella sua essenzialità! ? Consigliato per una clientela senza troppi fronzoli!?
We had dinner on the veranda. Polite and precise staff, rather fast. Simple food, well cooked. Nice mixed platter, tasty cold cuts, little cheese, just a slice, but tasty. The soft and appetizing canapes. Text cake very abundant and hot, even in excessive quantities. Strangozzi with black truffle when cooked right, satisfying portion. We were expecting grated flakes, on top of the pasta, with an attractive visual impact, but it also goes well with just crumbled truffles. (As in the picture) Good, soft boar alla cacciatora, with well-balanced rosemary, lemon and pepper aromas. Large, slightly fine and crunchy pizzas. Flour produced near the restaurant, stone ground in the village mill. Good loose Grechetto, only we would have liked it much fresher. House red ok. Account adequate to the location and the food consumed. Only two suggestions for improvement: the green awning on the veranda, in addition to protecting from the sun and the evening air, obscures a view in my opinion bucolic on the fields below: it would therefore be an ideal solution, a simple mobile plexiglass wall with a rolling sun shade. Second: the dishes should be slightly updated in their presentation: for example, strangozzi with a sprinkling of pepper on the plate and three drops of parsley or basil sauce, to give a minimum of color. Without upsetting! ? The wild boar, with a mini round of polenta to accompany it and three very simple, low-cost confit datterini tomatoes, would certainly have been able to look good! However a pleasant experience, in its essentiality! ? Recommended for customers without too many frills! ?

Ottima trattoria scoperta oggi in quel di Todi.. Cibo ottimo.. Antipasti abbondanti con ottima materia prima, buoni primi con pasta fresca... I secondi che dire... Agnello allo scottadito con cicoria e carciofi deliziosi... Da provare.. Ottime frappe

Such a lovely, kind family. And I don’t know how a simple plate of pasta at a roadside trattoria can be so good, but it was the best of my 6 weeks in Italy. I was traveling solo; it was Mother’s Day and I wasn’t clear on my communication with them over the phone the day before, but I stopped by anyway. I needed to eat outside and they weren’t set up for outside this day; everyone was eating inside. When I arrived and explained I needed to be outside for Covid reasons, they immediately set up a table for me under the spring blooming trees, looking out over the beautiful Umbrian green countryside. My lovely waitress (believe she is the daughter of the owners) had to scramble back and forth to serve the one table outside. It was my own private Mother’s Day lunch, first time alone in 31 years. And as I said, the plate of pasta (pasta chianina) was the best of my trip. I’ll be back some day! Hopefully next year!

Very good, classical Umbrian food, just don’t expect anything and then do it. And as usual, terrible breath. A wild boar “cinghale,” was delicious. Cute, friendly family too

Typical and innovative at the same time, everything on the menu is fresh and well composed. If you're going for meat I suggest you try the ones with sauce since their talent really shines there.
