★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Capitata quasi per caso a Cagli il Torrione è stata una vera scoperta. I suoi 360 scalini sono stata una prova non indifferente per le mie gambe ma fare questa "passeggiata" è davvero consigliabile a chi se la sente. Come dire... un vero passo nella storia.
The Torrione happened almost by chance in Cagli and was a real discovery. Its 360 steps have been a not indifferent test for my legs but taking this "walk" is really advisable for those who feel it. How to say ... a real step in history.

Mi aspettavo di vedere parte della costruzione, invece è stato possibile visionarla per intero.
La vista di Cagli dalla cima della torre è proprio gustosa!
Sorpresa delle sorprese: il camminamento sotterraneo che segretamente conduce sulla cima del colle. Si tratta di una scalinata umida che, in passato, conduceva alla fortezza di Cagli, abbattuta dagli stessi cagliesi per non farla cadere in mano nemica.
The visit to the keep was an exciting experience.
I expected to see part of the construction, but it was possible to view it in its entirety.
The view of Cagli from the top of the tower is really tasty!
Surprise of surprises: the underground walkway that secretly leads to the top of the hill. It is a humid staircase that, in the past, led to the fortress of Cagli, demolished by the Cagliesi themselves so as not to let it fall into enemy hands.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Torrione Martiniano è situato nelle immediate vicinanze del bellissimo centro storico della cittadina di Cagli nella provincia di Pesaro e Urbino. Si tratta di un imponente sistema di fortificazione progettato dall'architetto senese Francesco di Giorgio Martini su commissione del duca Federico da Montefeltro della città di Urbino. Particolarmente suggestivo il tunnel sotterraneo, caratterizzato da una ripida scalinata di oltre 360 gradini, che comunicava con la rocca sopraelevata rispetto al Torrione che non esiste più.
Torrione Martiniano is located in the immediate vicinity of the beautiful historic center of the town of Cagli in the province of Pesaro and Urbino. It is an imposing fortification system designed by the Sienese architect Francesco di Giorgio Martini on commission of the Duke Federico da Montefeltro of the city of Urbino. Particularly impressive is the underground tunnel, characterized by a steep staircase of over 360 steps, which communicated with the fortress raised above the Torrione which no longer exists.
