R	Rosaria Sarno on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La torre di Mola è una delle due torri di Formia nella parte bassa vicino il mare. L'altra nota come Torre di Castellone è nella parte alta. La città ha due torri perché prima erano due paesi poi uniti in uno. Nessuno dei due ha voluto rinunciare al suo santo così Formia ne ha due. È un luogo molto suggestivo di sera. Ristrutturato...non sempre visitabile all'interno... c'è un bar sotto la Torre e da essa comincia una stradina interna piena di locali molto frequentati l'inverno il fine settimana e l'estate tutte le sere. Zona da non perdere. La parte posteriore è accessibile da una piccolissima scala che fa fare il giro Torre oppure da una stradina nella parte opposta la strada dei locali. Non dimenticare di andare zona posteriore in cui i locali hanno spazi più ampi parcheggio e vista mare. The tower of Mola is one of the two towers of Formia in the lower part near the sea. The other known as Torre di Castellone is in the upper part. The city has two towers because first they were two countries then united in one. Neither of them wanted to give up their saint so Formia has two. It is a very impressive place in the evening. Renovated ... not always open inside ... there is a bar under the Tower and from it begins an internal street full of very popular places in winter on weekends and in summer every evening. Area not to be missed. The rear part is accessible by a very small staircase that goes around the Tower or by a small street on the opposite side of the street of the premises. Don't forget to go to the rear area where the premises have larger parking spaces and sea views.

È saldamente impiantata nelle fondamenta su un impianto di mura romane risalenti a 2000 anni fa. Dopo i bombardamenti dell'ultimo conflitto mondiale, di pregevole rimane solo il portale lapideo d'ingresso, che reca le insegne di papa Leone X Medici. The tower of Castello di Mola is what remains of the fort built towards the end of the thirteenth century by order of Charles II of Anjou, king of Naples. It is firmly implanted in the foundations on a plant of Roman walls dating back to 2000 years ago. After the bombing of the last world war, only the stone entrance portal remains, which bears the insignia of Pope Leo X Medici.

Solitamente è chiusa e si può visitare solo nelle occasioni in cui ospita qualche mostra artistico-culturale. The tower stands next to a very nice fishermen's dock to see sitting in the adjacent square. It is usually closed and can only be visited on occasions when it hosts some artistic-cultural exhibition.

Un posticino di passaggio per il pomeriggio, soprattutto d'estate, si sta molto bene. Spero di poterci tornare presto e di soffermarmi di più. Dovete far riparare le fontane però. Fascinating place, a pity only for the stench of the exhaust and the evening gatherings around the pitch where there is the big anchor. A little passing place for the afternoon, especially in summer, it feels very good. I hope to be able to return soon and to linger more. You have to get the fountains repaired though.

A	Alex Haas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Formia is a lovely town - not too touristy yet. We were having lunch and this tower was pretty much just next to the restaurant. Since it was on our "To-Do" list anyways we went having a look. Located just a bit a way from downtown at a small harbour is boasts a nice location. The Tower and the walls seem pretty well preserved for its age and are good for a bunch of pics. We didn't go closer, but I understand that there are some exhibitions inside at times. So, if you're in Formia, take the quick stroll down to the Torre. Nothing outstanding, but fine for a quick look.
