★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restaurata ed aperta al pubblico, questa torre ottocentesca un tempo adibita per il montaggio degli alberi delle navi, oggi al suo interno racchiude una grande sala conferenze e, al suo apice, ad una quarantina di metri d'altezza, una terrazza panoramica dalla quale poter vedere una buona fetta di Venezia e della sua laguna, isole annesse, la terraferma, il litorale ed il mare Adriatico. Da visitare se se ne ha l'occasione!
 Restored and open to the public, this nineteenth-century tower once used for assembling the masts of ships, today contains a large conference room and, at its peak, at a height of forty meters, a panoramic terrace from which you can see a good slice of Venice and its lagoon, annexed islands, the mainland, the coast and the Adriatic sea. To visit if you have the opportunity!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You have to really be determined to want to come here! Perhaps because its free or maybe because its part military facility there is little information on how to actually enter the shipyard. From the Celestia vaparetto stop, go over a bridge due East and take a very long metal causeway around the north side of the arselale. Enter building 105. This will give you access to the interior of the shipyard and its architectural glory. Upside is that you will see almost no tourists. And think - this is where Venice created its fleet that dominated the Adriatic for a millennia. But again, Italians don't provide any of this history so perhaps read up before you go.
