Si dice che era appartenuto ai romani, chi dice che era appartenuto agli etruschi. Comunque sia, dato che non c'è scritto nulla fuori, neppure una bacheca con la storia di appartenenza, non lo si può sapere con certezza. Unfortunately it is deteriorating. Tall grass covers what remains of the monument. There is nothing. It is an isolated and abandoned place. The story is uncertain. It is said that it belonged to the Romans, who says it belonged to the Etruscans. However, since there is nothing written out there, not even a bulletin board with the history of belonging, you cannot know for sure.
V	Vincenzo Siragusa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Purtroppo siamo alle solite: la Torre del Monumento meriterebbe ben altra votazione se non fosse per il modo in cui è pubblicizzata e mantenuta. Invece di essere una risorsa sembra quasi un impegno inutile. Dovremmo imparare dagli altri stati dove 2 pietre e una parete rocciosa diventano attrazioni di interesse storico e culturale. Unfortunately we are the usual ones: the Tower of the Monument would deserve a very different vote if it were not for the way in which it is advertised and maintained. Instead of being a resource, it almost seems like an unnecessary commitment. We should learn from other states where 2 stones and a rocky wall become attractions of historical and cultural interest.

Presumibilmente dedicato ad Aulo Larcio Lepido Sulpiciano, tribuno militare della Legio X Fretensis; l'opera dovrebbe risalire ad epoca flavia, seconda meta' del I secolo d.C. (cfr. Paola Brandizzi Vittucci, 'Antium: Anzio e Nettuno in epoca romana', Roma, Bardi, 2000, pp. 125-126 e nota 587). Nella 'Topografia Geometrica dell’Agro Romano' di Giovanni Battista Cingolani (1692; Frutaz 1972, II, tav. XXXII) la Torre del Monumento è ben visibile fra le poche costruzioni che caratterizzano la zona a nord di Nettuno, segno che il monumento era decisamente importante e presumibilmente in buone condizioni. Ai primi di aprile 2019, dopo lungo tempo in degrado, l'amministrazione comunale di Nettuno ha provveduto alla pulitura dell'area circostante la Torre del Monumento, restituendola ad un decoro auspicato. Nel 2020 l'area è stata nuovamente recintata. Telecamere, pannello solare e cartello con dicitura "Torre del Monumento: sito archeologico. Comune di Nettuno". Presumably dedicated to Aulus Larcio Lepido Sulpiciano, military tribune of the Legio X Fretensis; the work should date back to the Flavian era, second half of the 1st century AD. (see Paola Brandizzi Vittucci, 'Antium: Anzio and Nettuno in Roman times', Rome, Bardi, 2000, pp. 125-126 and note 587). In the 'Geometric Topography of the Agro Romano' by Giovanni Battista Cingolani (1692; Frutaz 1972, II, pl. XXXII) the Torre del Monumento is clearly visible among the few buildings that characterize the area north of Neptune, a sign that the monument was very important and presumably in good condition. In early April 2019, after a long time in decay, the municipal administration of Nettuno cleaned up the area surrounding the Torre del Monumento, restoring it to a desired decor. In 2020 the area was fenced again. Cameras, solar panel and sign with the words "Torre del Monumento: archaeological site. Municipality of Nettuno".
G	Giuseppe San on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si tratta di un monumento funerario risalente probabilmente ad epoca romana, tanti anni fa sembrava fosse identificato nella tomba di Tullia figlia del filosofo e console romano Marco Tullio Cicerone ma gli storici successivamente pare abbiano escluso questa ipotesi. Le due stelle non sono per denigrare il monumento in se ma per l'incuria e lo stato di abbandono in cui verte. Infatti dopo che una delle passate amministrazioni comunali aveva ripulito e messo in sicurezza la zona circostante e vi aveva addirittura organizzato un concerto, attualmente è stato abbandonato nel disinteresse più assoluto. It is a funerary monument probably dating back to Roman times, many years ago it seemed to have been identified in the tomb of Tullia daughter of the philosopher and Roman consul Marco Tullio Cicerone but historians later seem to have excluded this hypothesis. The two stars are not to denigrate the monument itself but because of the neglect and the state of abandonment in which it relates. In fact, after one of the past municipal administrations had cleaned up and secured the surrounding area and even organized a concert there, it has now been abandoned in absolute disinterest. Sin.
