Fra le torri medioevali del borgo, è quella in miglior stato di conservazione. Si riconosce al n. 9 per la copertura con una fitta vegetazione di edera nella parte inferiore. La torre è tra le più alte ancora in piedi in città e presenta il tipico rivestimento con il filaretto di pietra a vista. Si aprono varie finestre non allineate e alcune buche pontaie con mensole. L'ultimo piano con le ampie finestre è di costruzione più recente. Davanti alla torre si apre anche un piccolo giardino privato, unico giardino di torre a Firenze. The Belfredelli tower is one of the best preserved medieval towers in Borgo San Jacopo in Oltrarno and more generally in all of Florence. It is recognized at n. 9 for the cover with a dense vegetation of ivy in the lower part. The tower is among the tallest still standing in the city and has the typical cladding with a row of exposed stone. Several non-aligned windows open and some pontoon holes with shelves. The top floor with the large windows is of more recent construction. In front of the tower there is also a small private garden, the only tower garden in Florence.

Non famoso come il vicinissimo Ponte Vecchio, ma comunque con il suo fascino visto anche il suo ottimo stato di conservazione. Ho avuto il privilegio di visitarla interamente e non vi dico lo spettacolo che si ammira dalla sua sommità!!!
