One of my favorite spots ... where a river flows into the sea ... fresh water Reed reeds frogs a small natural oasis .... remember to bring a bag with you to collect some waste that you might find on the spot. ..

Torre Borraco. Located on the coast road between Campomarino and SAN Pietro in Bevagna. There is a very nice and clean free beach. Free parking.

La particolarità è data dalla sua collocazione che garantiva il controllo anche del rio (Burraco )d’acqua dolce che sfocia nel mare il quale è contornato da una spiaggia libera fruita in maniera massiva nel periodo estivo.Restaurata negli anni 2000 è in buono stato di conservazione anche se ritengo che la scalinata costruita quale accesso alla torre non mi piace trovo sia troppo moderna e fredda ,la balconata in ferro arrugginito proprio brutta infatti ho deciso di eliminarla dalla fotografia prediligendo la torre stessa, peccato fosse chiusa e quindi non accessibile inoltre ho riscontrato con rammarico che negli ultimi anni è in evidente stato di abbandono e utilizzata come latrina/ discarica a cielo aperto. One of the many beautiful watchtowers on the Salento coast built around 500 in the municipality of Manduria. The peculiarity is given by its location which guaranteed the control also of the freshwater stream (Burraco) that flows into the sea which is surrounded by a free beach which is used extensively in the summer. I don't like the tower I find it too modern and cold, the rusty iron balcony really ugly in fact I decided to eliminate it from the photograph preferring the tower itself, too bad it was closed and therefore not accessible I also found with regret that in recent years it is evident abandoned and used as a latrine / open landfill.
