★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Theatre very rich in tradition, i. a. Handel and others have seen their works performed here first. Today serves as "atelier" of the more well-known and shiny "La Fenice", but don't be mislead - the Malinbran still hosts world class musicians and directors. Also, many of Venice residents go (and also meet) there, might sometimes be tough to get tickets as tourists. Both a musical and a social experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would certainly recommend booking one of the boxes or gallery for the best experience here. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We did however book the tickets through La Fenice so showed up there in time for the start only to be told that we had to get to Malibran in 10 minutes, we managed but check your tickets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice theater, but did not enjoy their version of La Griselda. The website kept describing it as a revival of the classic, but it was a very modern adaptation of the opera. No fancy period costumes. The scene where they were clubbing to opera music was a bit off.
Cast and orchestra were very talented, but they should have managed expectations online.
