Theater that I see again after a long time. Recently renovated in a valid way. The only flaw are the armchairs that are definitely to be improved

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Teatro degli Atti si trova nel centro storico di Rimini, situato nel vasto complesso edilizio dell'ex Convento degli Agostiniani, sorto a ridosso della chiesa dedicata a San Giovanni Evangelista. Il complesso conventuale in cui oggi si apre il nuovo “Teatro degli Atti” si presenta sostanzialmente nell'aspetto esterno legato alla sua ristrutturazione del tardo Settecento, affidata dai frati al cesenate Giuseppe Achilli: una lunga ala, della lunghezza di quasi cento metri, che racchiude i corpi di fabbrica raccolti attorno ad un grande cortile e ad un chiostro.
La sala degli Atti presenta sedie a scomparsa e piani di palcoscenico che salgono e scendono, un “graticcio” copre metà platea e altri accorgimenti si spiegano con il proposito della massima flessibiltà possibile dello spazio, sia per adattarsi agli impieghi scenici diversi, sia per corrispondere alle esigenze della “società dell'informazione” che richiede la moltiplicazione delle piattaforme per la produzione mediatica.
Il Teatro degli Atti ospita spettacoli di artisti emergenti e compagnie affermate, concerti, incontri culturali, proiezioni e presentazioni di libri.
The Teatro degli Atti is located in the historic center of Rimini, located in the vast building complex of the former Convent of the Augustinians, built close to the church dedicated to San Giovanni Evangelista. The convent complex in which the new "Teatro degli Atti" opens today is substantially presented in the external aspect linked to its restructuring of the late eighteenth century, entrusted by the friars to Giuseppe Achilli from Cesena: a long wing, almost one hundred meters long, which it encloses the buildings gathered around a large courtyard and a cloister.
The Sala degli Atti has retractable chairs and stage floors that go up and down, a "trellis" covers half the stalls and other devices are explained with the purpose of the maximum possible flexibility of the space, both to adapt to different scenic uses, and to correspond to the needs of the "information society" which requires the multiplication of platforms for media production.
The Teatro degli Atti hosts performances by emerging artists and established companies, concerts, cultural meetings, screenings and book presentations.
