Consigliatissimo. Very traditional, very hospitable, excellent food, good wine, very friendly staff, owner always present and ready to advise according to taste. Highly recommended.

Personale davvero cordiale, cibo molto buono di qualità e che rispecchia a pieno la tradizione beneventana. Unica pecca prezzi troppo alti per ciò che abbiamo consumato; per giunta non abbiamo potuto usare il pos per pagare il conto (di 49 euro) pagando in contanti non c'è stato nemmeno dato l'euro di resto (pagando 50 euro). La mia votazione finale e 4 stelle su 5. Typical traditional tavern with a real tavern welcome. Really friendly staff, very good quality food that fully reflects the Benevento tradition. The only flaw is that the prices are too high for what we have consumed; in addition we could not use the pos to pay the bill (49 euros) by paying in cash there was not even the euro in change (paying 50 euros). My final rating is 4 out of 5 stars.

Due tortini (zucchine e cardo) riscaldati poco come antipasto, pasta mantecata al formaggio e zuppa di cardi, vino della casa (la bottiglia era aperta) e due amari. Totale di eur 55 scritto su un pizzino, senza ombra di specifiche o scontrini. I turisti, anche se da vedere per una sola volta (e questo è certo in questo caso) vanno trattati sicuramente con più rispetto. Local that does not shine for transparency: menu told by voice, with built-in quiz (prices to guess). Two patties (zucchini and thistle) lightly heated as an appetizer, creamy pasta with cheese and thistle soup, house wine (the bottle was open) and two bitters. Total of eur 55 written on a pizzino, without a shadow of specifications or receipts. Tourists, even if they are to be seen only once (and this is certain in this case) must certainly be treated with more respect.

After a tour through Benevento, we then were served a private luncheon later in the afternoon. The food was fantastic; savory and bursting with flavor. It was a warm and inviting treasure in the heart of Benevento. Make it a priority to visit this place!!
