★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great, local restaurant. Food was pretty cheap but delicious. I had fried baby squid and seafood linguini. The seafood is all on display so you can see how fresh it is. Very friendly staff and cold beer!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ EXTREMELY grumpy and stressful waiter. First, he refused to check with the kitchen whether they could make any of the dishes gluten free, offering only risotto as a gluten free alternative. One of us is a celiac and cannot eat gluten. Many of the dishes in the menu however are naturally gluten free and should be possible to serve. Second, we ordered red wine, but he served a mediocre white wine with a similar name and insisted it was the one we ordered, ignoring our protests. The seafood risotto was good, but the pasta with tomatoes and meat was mediocre, and not better than anything I could have made home myself. The grumpy waiter did not even care to say goodbye when we left, we only got a grumpy "thanks" after paying while he was facing away. Very disappointing after reading many positive reviews of this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big dissapointment with this restaurant! Very good service, but we were underwhelmed by the food. Spada was dry like a shoe, risotto barely had seafood. I am not sure where people are pulling 5* from, those reviews are probably Fake News.
Very mediocre experience and it is not worth walking from the port through quite challenging neighborhood (I would not come there at night). Please check your bill as well.
I gave 2* only based on the good service. The food was about --3*, actually pretty bad.

The kitchen chef is personally taking care of you!!
If you go to Catania you should definitely visit this restaurant.
