★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oh my God, I am still dreaming about this place months later. The squid ink pasta was so rich and meaty and gloriously satisfying, it was like something out of one of those food-porn books for women, and the antipasto of shellfish cured in citrus, so much greater than the sum of its parts, and the grilled fish, Sicilian cooking at its very best.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There were 3 of us for dinner and 2 people ordered the same dish, only 1 dish came out. So that person had to wait for their meal. Not busy at all. Don't speak English. Menu all in Italian. Food was just ok.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the coolest Trattoria around. Food is fantastic. The staff speaks "a little" English, but there was no problem with the order. Admittedly, they forgot about some of the things we’ve ordered (and it was not a very large group, only 3 people!), but eventually we received everything with a deep apology.
Prices like prices, similar to the area. But the quality of food is above average. Worth recommending, we will definitely come back there.

Arrived, and he literally provided us with the Suggestion Course Menu . Maybe some miscommunication, but we definitely didn’t want that.
Finally ordered some different menu items. Ate well. House wine was good. A bit sad as we were the only two customers, but it was a post COVID Monday night.
Pasta alle vongole were good, definitely worth it for 8€.
If you’re in the neighborhood this is a good place to go. Wouldn’t travel all the way for it, but still a good cheap eat.

It might be a not very objective review because I was in Catania for only one day and didn't visit any other seafood restaurant, but when I was on my way to the hotel from the supermarket, I saw this fresh fish behind the glass and family-like stuff watching some telenovela I decided to try my luck!
And gosh how tasty that was! I barely explained what I wanted in English, but marinated octopus, shrimps and anchovies with house-made whine were delightful! Later they brought a huge portion of mussels in some tomato sauce it was so so good.
Guys, I hope I'll come back to this place one day and that's why I'm writing this review - to keep it in my memory and tell that this place should never be empty!
