N	Nicoletta Crini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I resti romani e la spiaggia sono bellissimi e interessanti ma il degrado ambientale, dovuto alla presenza di rifiuti di plastica e non e alle acque non pulite, e l'assoluta mancanza di cartellonistica, hanno reso la visita veramente deludente. Non è possibile che un luogo così interessante da visitare venga mantenuto in questo stato di degrado! The Roman remains and the beach are beautiful and interesting but the environmental degradation, due to the presence of plastic and non-plastic waste and to the unclean waters, and the absolute lack of signage, made the visit really disappointing. It is not possible that such an interesting place to visit will be kept in this state of decay!

Segnalazioni inesistenti, zona antistante lercia; i due ponti di accesso, uno in muratura e uno di legno, uno più disastrato dell'altro. Alla faccia della sicurezza e dell'accessibilità. Inaccettabile. Le due stelle sono una media tra il 5 del luogo e lo 0 dello stato in cui si trova. I find it rather scandalous that a historical site like this is kept in a state that I would describe as pitiful. Non-existent reports, area in front of filthy; the two access bridges, one in masonry and one in wood, one more damaged than the other. So much for safety and accessibility. Unacceptable. The two stars are an average between the 5 of the place and the 0 of the state in which it is located.
E	Enrico Ripamonti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Contrariamente a quanto il nome farebbe pensare è un'opera di ingegneria romana del periodo repubblicano. Si tratta di una profonda fenditura scavata nella roccia del promontorio di Ansedonia nel quale scorrevano sia le acque spinte dal mare che quelle di deflusso dal lago di Burano: un sistema di correnti e controcorrenti che aveva lo scopo di evitare l'insabbiamento del piccolo porto di Cosa (si possono vedere ancora i resti dei moli). Fu realizzato quando lo Spacco della Regina (che svolgeva la stessa funzione) si rese inagibile per colpa di una frana. Il luogo non è dei meglio tenuti ed è poco valorizzato perché manca qualsiasi tipo di informazione: un manufatto quasi unico, di duemila anni fa, che rischia di passare inosservato o incompreso. Contrary to what the name would suggest it is a Roman engineering work of the republican period. It is a deep fissure dug into the rock of the Ansedonia promontory in which both the waters pushed by the sea and those of runoff from Lake Burano flowed: a system of currents and countercurrents that had the purpose of avoiding the silting up of the small port of What (you can still see the remains of the piers). It was built when the Spacco della Regina (which performed the same function) became unusable due to a landslide. The place is not one of the best kept and it is not highly valued because it lacks any type of information: an almost unique artifact, from two thousand years ago, which risks going unnoticed or misunderstood.

Sulla spiaggia giacciono in copiosa quantità microplastiche, rifiuti e montagne di poseidonia ed altre alghe in decomposizione. Vergognosa la maniera in cui viene tenuta questa bella spiaggia appena sottostante il promontorio da cui si gode una splendida vista e dove si trovano arroccate grandi ville private abitate. Ancora più grave è l'incuria se si tiene conto del fatto che si tratta di un sito di interesse archeologico. Da segnalare anche la presenza di una sorta di ponticello fatiscente e pericoloso che in teoria dovrebbe condurre all'interno dello Spacco della Regina Ansedonia...che a questo punto si rivolta nella tomba a vedere tale meraviglia così ridotta! Ansedonia (Municipality of Orbetello) - first week of August 2021. Copious quantities of microplastics, waste and mountains of Posidonia and other decomposing algae lie on the beach. Shameful is the way in which this beautiful beach is kept just below the promontory from which you can enjoy a splendid view and where large private inhabited villas are perched. Even more serious is the neglect if we take into account the fact that it is a site of archaeological interest. Also noteworthy is the presence of a sort of dilapidated and dangerous bridge that in theory should lead inside the Spacco della Regina Ansedonia ... which at this point turns in the tomb to see this wonder so reduced!
D	Daniele Maffia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Opera dei romani fa vedere l'ingegno che avevano gli antichi ingegneri. Potrebbe e dovrebbe essere tenuta meglio. The work of the Romans shows the ingenuity that the ancient engineers had. It could and should be better maintained.
