★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Carona ( omonima di una località vicina a Lugano, Svizzera) è la zona boschiva a sud della via Cittiglio e il pendio del monte S. Clemente nel comune di Laveno Mombello. Dalla Carona si può raggiungere la Ca’ dul Triz e i bei prati circostanti posti vicino all’ acquedotto al di là del parcheggio della ex discoteca Moulin Rouge. Il sentiero parte da Via Nazè e dopo avere girato subito a destra, sale anche fino al Santuario di S. Clemente nella parrocchia di Sangiano ( ma nel comune di Caravate). Il comune di Laveno finisce pochi metri prima della chiesa di San Clemente. La via, superate alcune fasce prative e qualche campo coltivato, subito curva a sinistra per tuffarsi nei boschi della Carona. Il percorso in lieve salita, presenta qua e là ancora il vecchio acciottolato, segno della maggiore importanza che esso rivestiva in passato quale via di comunicazione tra Mombello e Cittiglio. Le fasce boschive che la via attraversa sono ammantate da alberi decidui tra cui la robinia, il ciliegio selvatico, il frassino, il castagno, l’acero campestre e tra gli arbusti, il nocciolo, il sambuco e il nespolo. A circa 900 metri dal suo avvio la strada si divide in 2 diramazioni che confluiscono poco più avanti nel comune di Cittiglio in Via 25 Aprile e a S. Biagio.
 La Carona (namesake of a town near Lugano, Switzerland) is the wooded area south of via Cittiglio and the slope of Mount S. Clemente in the municipality of Laveno Mombello. From Carona you can reach the Ca 'dul Triz and the beautiful surrounding meadows located near the aqueduct beyond the parking lot of the former Moulin Rouge disco. The path starts from Via Nazè and after turning immediately to the right, it also climbs up to the Sanctuary of S. Clemente in the parish of Sangiano (but in the municipality of Caravate). The municipality of Laveno ends a few meters before the church of San Clemente. The road, past some meadows and some cultivated fields, immediately turns left to dive into the Carona woods. The slightly uphill path still presents the old cobblestone here and there, a sign of the greater importance that it had in the past as a communication route between Mombello and Cittiglio. The woodlands that the road crosses are cloaked in deciduous trees including black locust, wild cherry, ash, chestnut, field maple and among the shrubs, hazel, elderberry and loquat. About 900 meters from its start, the road divides into 2 branches which converge a little further on in the municipality of Cittiglio in Via 25 Aprile and in S. Biagio.
