Attorno a Sallustio passavano goliardici studenti , allegri beoni , impiegati comunali , figuranti di varie epoche storiche, in poche parole questa statua ha visto crescere le ultime generazioni di aquilani, è lì dal 1903 . Attualmente con il rifiorire della città e le attività della piazza si ricomincia a darsi appuntamento li nelle svariate ore della giornata.
The statue of Sallustio for the inhabitants of L'Aquila represents a place of meeting and fun. Around Sallustio passed goliardic students, cheerful drunkards, municipal employees, set out from different historical periods, in short, this statue has grown the latest generations of L'Aquila, has been there since 1903. Currently with the flourishing of the city and the activities of the square, it is starting to meet again in the various hours of the day.

The statue is placed in the center of a very pretty square, but unfortunately still used as a construction site. It should be kept better.
