★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Urbs Salvia era una colonia romana, nata nei II sec. completa di tutto ciò che piaceva ai romani benestanti che raggiunse lo splendore nel II sec dc. grazie al senatore di Tito, Lucio Flavio Silva, lo stesso che condusse l'assedio a Masada e interpretato per il cinema da Peter O'toole.
Venne a poco a poco abbandonata in seguito al saccheggio di Alarico nel V sec.
Ora ha un bel museo con scavi guidati di 40 ettari. visitabili con un'unico biglietto da soli 5 Euro che comprende anche la visita alla vicina Abbadia Cistercense di Fiastra con il suo parco regionale protetto, ricco di animali selvatici, con ristorantini o fast food per ogni tasca o tempo, per vivere un'intera giornata "Alla grande".
Urbs Salvia was a Roman colony, born in the II cent. complete with all that the wealthy Romans liked that reached its splendor in the 2nd century AD. thanks to Tito's senator, Lucio Flavio Silva, the same one who led the siege to Masada and played for cinema by Peter O'toole.
It was gradually abandoned after the sacking of Alaric in the 5th century.
Now it has a beautiful museum with 40-hectare guided excavations. can be visited with a single ticket for only 5 Euro which also includes a visit to the nearby Abbadia Cistercense of Fiastra with its protected regional park, full of wild animals, with small restaurants or fast food for every pocket or time, to live an entire day "Great".
