Oggi rimangono importanti parti ( la Basilica, il Chiostro, il Monastero ed altri edifici).
L'attuale Monastero è quello che una volta era l'antico Scriptorium, la favolosa biblioteca con antichissimi manoscritti. Oggi è anche la sede del festival del cinema di Bobbio.
The abbey of Bobbio, founded in 614 by San Colombano, was, together with that of Montecassino, the most important of the early medieval period in Italy.
Today important parts remain (the Basilica, the Cloister, the Monastery and other buildings).
The current Monastery is what was once the ancient Scriptorium, the fabulous library with ancient manuscripts. Today it is also the seat of the Bobbio film festival.
