Dal lato esterno è possibile visitare l'antico Chiostro dove saltuariamente è possibile assistere a concerti musicali e mostre tematiche. Per divertimento e per lavoro continuo ad averci a che fare. Ricordi personali e fatti comuni. Sono molto di parte ma chi ci andrà non resterà deluso. Una terrazza naturale sullo Stretto di Messina con vista da capo Faro in Sicilia a capo d'Armi in Calabria. La più grande "fabbrica" architettonica della città con parti che vanno dal medioevo al 900 e due fantastici chiostri cinquecenteschi con colonne ioniche, purtroppo ancora in fase di restauro. Per chi ama anche dell'altro c'è la fornita enoteca provinciale con vini di qualità. Perché l'ex abbazia benedettina di San Placido dalla fine dell'ottocento è sempre stata una scuola Agraria e oggi un Istituto Tecnico Agrario. Bellissimi i paesaggi a vigneto. Andateci in silenzio.
