Amazing experience with Claudia. She was extremely helpful and accommodated all our requests (e.g. we brought our own pedals and she removed the standard ones in advance). The bikes (2x Bianchi Lupo, roadbike-trekking crossover) were well maintained and were perfect for our three day bikepacking tour!

We had very nice time around the old olives trees and historical landmarks and turning back through the beautiful coast. I was quite sure this day what I wanted to see, but thanks to the app and the road personalized for us by the owner our experience was much nicer, riched with the places where to eat something nutritious from the traditional bakery on the road or where to have a stop for a beer with the great view. The bicicles are for trekking so they are quite universal for different needs and ages. Check in and drop off very flexible.

If you are interested in cycling the beautiful Salentino peninsula, lower half of Puglia (Italy), Slow Active Tours will provide you with the utmost beautiful routes. Marco the owner is very responsive and gets back to you immediately as you are making the arrangements and plans for your cycling trip. We made Lecce our base and cycled for 2 days. One day the route included the Ionian coast and the second day the Adriatic coast. Marco provided us with top notch road bikes, Bianchi gravel model, excellent and comfortable seat for the along routes. Our guide Paolo was the best, he is quite familiar with the area extremely knowledgeable. Along the routes we stopped in quaint little towns for snacks and drinks at local cafΓ©s. We had a minor setback as one of the bikes malfunctioned and a new bike was brought on site by Marco within 30 minutes. Slow Active tours offers excellent service for an enjoyable and memorable cycling trip to Puglia. I give Marco the highest recommendation and will defiantly use his company in the future if I have the good fortune to return to Puglia. Ask for Paolo for your tour guide, you will not be disappointed. One thing you must know, Marco expects payment with money transferred, which proved to be quite a challenge, especially during this time of Covid where some banks are still not open for in person banking, have to make an appointment, takes 10 days, etc. etc. I ended up using world remit app, my money got lost in cyber space for a week or so. Eventually I recovered my funds. So I would recommend Marco figure out another way to receive payment such use money transfer like Zella, Venmo, etc, or simple accept credit card payment. Just a suggestion.

We started this journey in 2020, had to cancel and finally managed to complete in 2022! Fantastic adventure and patience galore from Marco as I changed date several times and Covid related challenges. Thank you for a trip of a lifetime memory!

At the beginning of August we spontaneously rented 2 bikes from Marco. He immediately provided us with well-equipped and maintained trekking bikes including locks and a repair kit. So we could comfortably explore Lecce and the surrounding area all the way to the sea. We also rode some gravel roads without any problems. The rental was very uncomplicated and Marco is very friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended!

This is my second cycle tour after having done it in the Lake District. I have to say Slow Active Tours were truly impressive. They were quite flexible with our timings. We opted for more premium hotels. They added activities like wine tasting , Lecce guided tour or Leuca boat tour which were all great. We loved our hotels, especially i Bastioni in Gallipoli and La Tenuta Cento porte in Otranto. The GPS app is really cool to find small side roads. You absolutely need a powerbank as it totally drains your battery . You can hold your phone on the bike but not the powerbank ! I would not do more than 60/65km per day.

Bike in good working order and easy to pick-up and drop off the bike in Lecce. The team took time to setup the bike and put a second bottle cage on at my request. Great service would use again!

We have just returned home after our fabulous cycling holiday in Salento. We usually have one cycle holiday a year so have plenty to compare with. Slow Active Tours were great from booking right through to completion. Marco was excellent. The cycles were very high standard, all the accomadation was very comfortable and in great locations. Slow Active Tours were excellent value and we are already talking about booking another one in the future
