★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Percorso molto bello, diversi tratti in salita e piuttosto lungo- fatto all'inizio dell'autunno, grande abbondanza di castagne, percorso suggestivo con bellissimi scorci sul lago ma attenzione, nessum battello al pomeriggio che passi da Belgirate e vada a Stresa (ce n'è 1 solo al mattino) e per il VCO bus portate pazienza perché passa in ritardo
Very nice route, several uphill and rather long stretches - done in early autumn, great abundance of chestnuts, suggestive route with beautiful views of the lake but beware, no boat in the afternoon that passes by Belgirate and goes to Stresa (ce n 'is 1 only in the morning) and for the VCO bus be patient because it passes late

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Sentiero dei Castagni si snoda da Stresa a Belgirate passando da Brisino.
Consiglio la visita in primavera o in autunno.
In autunno il percorso è ancora più bello in quanto l'assenza di vegetazione rende ben visibile il lago.
Noi abbiamo lasciato la macchina al parcheggio del mercato a Stresa, ci siamo incamminati verso la scuola Rosmini Bper poi salire verso Brisino, dove il percorso passa dalla strada asfaltata al bosco. Qui poi ci sono due alternative: proseguire dritti in costa oppure salire fino a Magognino. Per poi ridiscendere verso Belgirate uscendo nuovamente sulla strada asfaltata (poco trafficata). Una volta a Belgirate si può tornare a Stresa con i mezzi pubblici.
The Chestnut Trail winds its way from Stresa to Belgirate via Brisino.
I recommend visiting in spring or autumn.
In autumn the route is even more beautiful as the absence of vegetation makes the lake clearly visible.
We left the car at the parking lot of the market in Stresa, we walked towards the Rosmini B school and then went up towards Brisino, where the path passes from the asphalted road to the woods. Here then there are two alternatives: go straight to the coast or go up to Magognino. Then go down to Belgirate again on the paved road (with little traffic). Once in Belgirate you can return to Stresa by public transport.
