ATTENTION! They will SCAM you out of your money! Do not book with them! They will cheat you out of your money! My friend and I needed specific requirements that the school needs to fulfill for us to be able to get educational leave. Gerda, the person we emailed with, assured us that she would send us all the required licenses as soon as we booked the class and paid 100€ each. We booked based on her statements and as soon as the money went through, after weeks of her assuring me they had all the licenses, she told me that they didn’t have the most important one which was a requirement for us getting the educational leave. We’ve been trying to get back our money back for months to no avail! First the ignored us and then they told us we could use the 100€ later which was never an option for us, because we had a specific window of time. I told Gerda this as well. The director of the school didn’t care even after I provided him with all the emails. So I can only assume this is not a one time thing. They stole our money. They did this on purpose from the beginning of our correspondence. So unprofessional! STAY AWAY FROM THESE CHEATS!!!

I attended for one week in 2015 and was disappointed. The classes were twice as large as advertised. We had two hours each morning studying grammar (three different teachers that week) followed by two hours of conversational study (two different teachers). So, five teachers over the course of one week -- very poor for lesson continuity, and class time was wasted. Two of the teachers were excellent, the others less so. The best thing about this school was Fiammetta, their cooking course instructor, who teaches out of her very charming apartment.

Dear friends, frankly speaking we did not know Florence and an Italian course could be so nice and it is not the first time! Once again a very enjoyable stay in "our" school of Italian. The staff are always so welcoming when you arrive, for "repeaters" they make you feel like you have never been away. The school ambience is excellent having been updated inside - of course it is a Renaissance building...but with OibΓ² bar and restaurant on the ground floor, wow! Even if very very hot summer - our 4 week course at Scuola Toscana was excellent. We can only recommend - Sorry we do not have photos but we were too busy enjoying ourself! We had classes in the morning and activities in the afternoon and special tours with Caterina in the night...see you soon, Scuola Toscana.

I had such a great time at Scuola Toscana! The staff were very friendly and supportive. There were a lot of different fun activities for students to take part in. I can't imagine a more perfect place to study than Florence. A truly great experience!

I've been to this school multiple times now because not only is it really helpful and educational, it's really fun, and you get to be in Florence, which is an amazing city. The school is great. The instructors are all brilliant at what they do and are fun to be around. Plus they cater the classes to your skill level regardless whether you're a beginner or an advanced student. Besides the classes, they offer after school and weekend events/activities, which are always fun, entertaining and educational. Sometimes you'll go to other cities, or take you to eat at the hot spots that only the locals know about, or you can take cooking lessons, or historical tours of Florence, which are beyond fascinating. I've done many amazingly fun things with the school.

This is an amazing school. We did the beginner Italian family course for one week but would have gladly stayed much longer. Our kids ages 4 and 9 years old thoroughly enjoyed it. The teachers are top notch. Vibrant, animated and immerse you totally into an Italian world of a great learning adventure. Class size was small and therefore very personal. The afternoon excursions are very informative and nicely arranged. A Wonderful !!wonderful school !!

I spent 4 weeks in this school in 2019 and attended their intensive language course. The teachers I encountered here, specifically Laura, Daniela and the director, have a unique way of making you feel like you're a child again. If you forget a grammar rule, they will patronise and scold you. The test that determines your language level is a 2 sentence long chat with the director. Needless to say they moved me and some other of my classmates up and down the levels several times, without any explanation, you just get a note to leave the classroom and head to another one instead. I enjoyed my grammar classes with Alberto and took quite a lot away from them. Despite this I would not stay again with them. The treatment of German classmates vs Eastern European classmates was incredibly polarised, meaning if you're from the Western world, you'd get more respect. It's all very subtle but incredibly unnerving. As a bilingual person I got to experience both sides of the coin, which made me very uncomfortable. I tried to talk to the director about it but didn't get any acknowledgement. Instead he cut another female teacher, who tried to stand in my defense, short. The cherry on the top of the cake was the way one of the above teachers spoke about Southern Italians or people of Hispanic origin. So much belittling, often subtle, sometimes literal and "humourous", it's still leaving me speechless. I decided to write this review now because I realised that that experience is still making me anxious and I hope to leave it in the past in this way.

Quality of the teachers is outstanding. The program is pretty intensive. Learning Italian in Florence is a unique privilege. Thank you. Grazie mille ! Ci vediamo.
