★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Locale trovato per caso curiosando all'interno di un porticato. Si tocca con mano la vera Sicilia autentica, fuori dai canoni "modaioli". Io e mia moglie abbiamo ordinato: ricotta calda vaccina con marmellata di pere e cioccolato; piatto unico a base di uova sode al Nero d'Avola, pomodori, cipolla di giarratana, olive e caciocavallo ragusano; filetti di pesce spada e datterini. I due signori ci hanno spiegato dettagliatamente le varie pietanze e nel dopo cena cosa andare a vedere nell'isola. Un'esperienza assolutamente da provare. Consigliatissimo!
 Local found by chance browsing inside a portico. You can touch the real authentic Sicily, out of the "fashionable" canons. My wife and I ordered: hot cow's milk ricotta with pear and chocolate jam; single dish based on hard-boiled eggs with Nero d'Avola, tomatoes, giarratana onion, olives and Ragusano caciocavallo; swordfish and datterini fillets. The two gentlemen explained to us in detail the various dishes and after dinner what to see on the island. An experience absolutely to try. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wines are quite expensive, food is OK-ish at best, and worst of all: service is truly dismissive. They even shouted at the postman in front of the guests. Seems they don't like people too much, except for the money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Homestyle food and friendly hosts in a cosy wine shop. We really liked all the local typical dishes we ordered for lunch. Fava soup and warm ricotta are quintessential comfort foods. It was my first time having Scaccia and it was very good and the antipasti platter was generous and tasty. They were very accommodating of our toddler and have reasonable prices to boot! Recommended.
