★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ogni anno ci rechiamo in questo splendido posto. Molto suggestivo, la chiesa ristrutturata incastonata nella montagna è davvero surreale. Merita una visita assolutamente. Si respira un clima molto sereno e rilassante. Ci sono anche dei percorsi a piedi di trekking che collegano con le cittadine vicine.
La vista è mozzafiato

Every year we go to this beautiful place. Very impressive, the renovated church set in the mountain is truly surreal. Absolutely worth a visit. The atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing. There are also some walking trekking routes that connect with the nearby towns.
The view is breathtaking

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Santuario della Madonna delle Armi, a Cerchiara di Calabria, è situato sotto il Monte Sellaro, ad un'altitudine di 1015 m.s.l.m. ed è veramente suggestivo.
Incastonato nella roccia, era inizialmente un ascetario per monaci bizantini (sec. X), poi a partire dal Medio Evo, ha conosciuto vari ampliamenti e diversi utilizzi, voluti dai Principi Pignatelli di Cerchiara e, prima ancora, dai Sanseverino di Bisignano.
È un posto favoloso da dove si domina tutto il golfo di Sibari, da S.Maria di Leuca a Sibari e, in fondo, Punta Alice (KR) e dove viene naturale riflettere ed elevare lo spirito.
Da non perdere.
The Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Armi, in Cerchiara di Calabria, is located under Mount Sellaro, at an altitude of 1015 m.s.l.m. and it is truly impressive.
Set in the rock, it was initially an ascetary for Byzantine monks (10th century), then starting from the Middle Ages, it has undergone various extensions and different uses, desired by the Pignatelli princes of Cerchiara and, before that, by the Sanseverino of Bisignano.
It is a fabulous place from where the whole gulf of Sibari is dominated, from Santa Maria di Leuca to Sibari and, after all, Punta Alice (KR) and where it is natural to reflect and elevate the spirit.
Not to be missed.
