Costruito in epoca bizantina (nel 1040), ha conosciuto vari rimaneggiamenti in epoca barocca. Più che la facciata è bellissimo il posteriore con le absidi dalle originali forme a trullo, una sopra l'altra in cerchi concentrici e la torre cuspidata del campanile a fianco.
