Puntualmente a fine vacanza facevo la mia bella scorta, per portarle con me a Bruxelles. Quest'anno a fine vacanza, vado al supermercato e trovo lo scomparto vuoto. Mi ero ripromesso nei vari anni di recarmi direttamente alla fonte (distante poco più di 20 km). Mai scelta fu più azzeccata, oltre alle frese ho potuto riscontrare la presenza di taralli, biscotti, ovviamente il pane e chi più ne ha più ne metta. Dall'anno prossimo andrò direttamente a questo forno, dove sin dall'entrata senti il profumo buono del pane, quello vero! Poi che dire della gentile Signora proprietaria, che forte e sicura del suo prodotto, nemmeno prova a "rifilarti" le cose, ottenendo così a mio avviso l'effetto contrario, nel senso che le cose che vende, che appaiono già a vista appetitose, te le compri da solo, anzi andato via ti penti di non aver preso qualcosa in più. Provo immenso rispetto per questi artigiani dei piccoli borghi che producono eccellenza a bassa voce. Le frese poi sono il top, sottili gustose, ottima sostituzione del pane... I have immense respect for these artisans of small villages who produce excellence in a low voice. Then the cutters are the top, thin and tasty, excellent replacement of bread ... I constantly wonder how they do them like this ??.

Oltre al pane di Cerchiara di Calabria che è ormai un punto di riferimento nella cartina gastronomica calabrese, sono da provare tutti gli altri prodotti come le pizze, le focacce ripiene, le " pitte ", le freselle, i crostini ed i taralli semplici ed aromatizzati. A conclusione, fa da cornice la gentilezza oltre che della proprietà, anche quella dello staff. Always quality products due above all to a lot of care in the search for raw materials !!! Lievitazione naturale, ingredienti sceltissimi, massima pulizia e grande passione fanno di questo pane una vera eccellenza. Da assaggiare anche la tipica Pitta e tutti gli altri prodotti da forno di loro produzione, delle vere squisitezze.
