All' altare c'e' il quadro della Madonna della neve " Nives ", protettrice della città di mare, Schiavonea, Corigliano Calabro scalo (CS), dove ogni anno, mi reco, con la mia famiglia, per rinnovare, la fede e la devozione alla Mamma. Nelle vicinanze, sorge la nuova Chiesa, con la statua della Madonna della neve, che ogni anno, nella ricorrenza della sua festa, 05 AGOSTO, oltre alla percorrenza per le strade della marina di Schiavonea, viene portata dai suoi devoti al mare, che dal porto di Corigliano Calabro scalo, viene imbarcata e percorre via mare, arrivando fino alla centrale dell' Enel di Rossano e poi fà ritorno al porto. Viene posta poi, su un mezzo idoneo, facendo una bella camminata per tutto il lungomare, tornando alla Chiesa nuova, da dove era partita nel tardo pomeriggio. Come ringraziamento, batterie di fuochi artificiali e cena, organizzata e preparata dai tanti parrocchiani e devoti, nel cortile della parrocchia. Musica e tantissimo divertimento per tutti.Consiglio a tanti di vivere questi momenti di gioia, relax e religiosità. beautiful church, very old, where there are many figures and frescoes, rich with memories and stories.
