R	Roberto Castellani on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Colpisce più della chiesetta in se, tutto il complesso, comprensivo del loggiato a fianco. La curiosità ci ha fatto tornare indietro invertendo la marcia. La chiesa è piccola, ben curata e caratteristica. Dal suo piccolo piazzale scendendo le scale si arriva sotto il porticato ed è tutta un’altra storia. Incuria, sporcizia, e degrado costituiscono la caratteristica del manufatto, pregiudicandone il valore. Peccato perché, situazioni di questo tipo, non si dovrebbero mai vedere, in particolare vicino ad una chiesa. The whole complex is more striking than the small church itself, including the open gallery to the side. Curiosity made us turn back by reversing the march. The church is small, well maintained and characteristic. From its small square going down the stairs you arrive under the arcade and it is a whole other story. Carelessness, dirtiness and degradation are the characteristics of the building, jeopardizing its value. Too bad because, such situations, you should never see, especially near a church.

Consiglio di visitarlo durante la settimana in orario tardo mattutino o intorno a mezzogiorno, per godere della solitudine necessaria al raccoglimento e alla preghiera. Il silenzio assordante di questo luogo è rotto soltanto dal passaggio di qualche sporadica auto sulla strada esterna, e dal rintocco delle campane. L'effige di Maria Santissima è posta molto in alto e non la si vede benissimo. In compenso c'è una bella statua datata inizio '900 che ispira tanta dolcezza e preghiera. Beautiful and suggestive sanctuary. I recommend visiting it during the week in late morning or around midday, to enjoy the solitude necessary for recollection and prayer. The deafening silence of this place is broken only by the passage of some sporadic cars on the external road, and by the ringing of the bells. The effigy of Maria Santissima is placed very high and is not seen very well. On the other hand there is a beautiful statue dated early '900 which inspires so much sweetness and prayer.

G	Gian Domenico Silvestrone on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Al Km 1+ 500 della statale SS.17, dopo aver superato il suggestivo paesino di Antrodoco ci si imbatte nella Chiesa della Santissima Maria delle grotte, luogo denso di suggestione, il fondo della chiesa, non ha come in genere una parte absidale ma la parete della montagna alla quale è addossata. Luogo di devozione e cessione di grazie, la grande quantità di fiori freschi la testimoniano. Per chi eventualmente passasse è consigliata una sosta. La chiesa con la volta dell'altare si trova attaccata alla roccia ed è molto suggestiva.
