N	Natascia Bertani on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Molto bello . E il panorama è spettacolare .. bisogna fare attenzione agli orari .. non sempre aperto soprattutto ora con le nuove disposizioni. C'è un ampio parcheggio ma se non si fa attenzione il rischio e di non riuscire a tornare indietro con la propria auto ( presenza di una sbarra che quando il santuario e aperto è alzata ma viene subito abbassata quando finiscono le varie funzioni .)i custodi sono attenti che non ci siano più persone prima di chiudere l'accesso ..il problema non sussiste se ci si va a piedi .. Very beautiful . And the view is spectacular .. you have to pay attention to the times .. not always open especially now with the new provisions. There is a large parking lot but if you are not careful you risk not being able to go back with your car (presence of a bar that is raised when the sanctuary is open but is immediately lowered when the various functions end.) caretakers are careful that there are no more people before closing the access .. the problem does not exist if you go there on foot ..
g	gio gemme on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Santuario di Nostra Signora della Guardia, edificato dai Gaviesi nel 1861, sul colle dei Turchini, domina con al sua posizione tutto il territorio. Attenzione agli orari di visita: il parcheggio è chiuso da una sbarra e si rischia di trovare la macchina "prigioniera" se non si rispettano gli orari di apertura. Nel santuario si trova una bella statua in legno di N.S. della Guardia, del 1746, ex voto di Giacomo Bertelli in ringraziamento dall'aver avuto la casa salva dopo i bombardamenti dovuti all'assedio austriaco di Gavi. La statua per 50 anni è in una cappella fuori Gavi a Forneto. Nel 1799 l'esercito napoleonico sconfitto si rifugia nel Forte di Gavi e temendo che la cappella possa servire per bombardare il Forte la fa distruggere. La statua viene salvata e portata dapprima nel convento dei Carmelitani e poi Napoleone abolisce questo Ordine, allora la statua viene trasferita nel convento francescano di Valle. Ma anche questo ordine viene abolito da Napoleone e la statua viene conservata nell'oratorio della Trinità. Nel 1817 una grave siccità colpisce la val Lemme: la statua viene portata in processione e... piove!!! Un canonico discendente di Bertelli decide di costruire il Santuario sul colle dei Turchini, ma una nuova guerra, la prima di indipendenza, ferma i lavori. Nel 1861 il Santuario è finito e finalmente la statua trova la sua attuale dimora! La festa del Santuario si celebra il 29 agosto, giorno di Nostra Signora della Guardia. The Sanctuary of Nostra Signora della Guardia, built by the Gaviesi in 1861, on the Turchini hill, dominates the whole territory with its position. Pay attention to the visiting hours: the car park is closed by a bar and you risk finding the "prisoner" car if you do not respect the opening hours. In the sanctuary there is a beautiful wooden statue of N.S. della Guardia, from 1746, an ex voto by Giacomo Bertelli in gratitude for having had the house safe after the bombing caused by the Austrian siege of Gavi. For 50 years the statue is in a chapel outside Gavi in Forneto. In 1799 the defeated Napoleonic army took refuge in the Fort of Gavi and fearing that the chapel could be used to bomb the Fort had it destroyed. The statue is saved and first brought to the Carmelite convent and then Napoleon abolishes this Order, then the statue is transferred to the Franciscan convent of Valle. But even this order was abolished by Napoleon and the statue was kept in the oratory of the Trinity. In 1817 a severe drought hit the Lemme valley: the statue was carried in procession and ... it rains !!! A canon descendant of Bertelli decides to build the Sanctuary on the Turchini hill, but a new war, the first of independence, stops the works. In 1861 the Sanctuary was finished and the statue finally found its current home! The feast of the Sanctuary is celebrated on August 29, the day of Our Lady of the Guard.

La chiesa è carina, molto ben tenuta e assolutamente perfetta per un momento di raccoglimento e preghiera Beautiful view from the church square. G	Gavi Wine Land on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Santuario di Nostra Signora della Guardia, fu costruito dalla popolazione del luogo nel 1861, su un'altura, colle dei Turchini, che domina la zona. Conserva al suo interno la bella statua lignea di N.S. della Guardia, costruita nel 1746, ex voto di un gaviese, Giacomo Bertelli, che aveva avuto l'abitazione miracolosamente risparmiata dai bombardamenti, durante l'assedio austro-piemontese. L'architettura è quella di chiesa a croce greca. Il pavimento è in pregiato marmo rosso Levanto. Ci sono tre altari: uno dedicato al Sacro Cuore di Gesù, l'altro allo sposalizio di Maria Vergine, e l'altare maggiore, sormontato da una nicchia molto bella, che accoglie la statua in legno della Madonna della Guardia. Il santuario è affidato, dal 1941, alla Congregazione dei figli di Santa Maria Immacolata. La festa del santuario si celebra il 29 agosto, giorno di Nostra Signora della Guardia. m	m adai on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Non solo la chiesa ma tutta l'area del Santuario non è accessibile in orari di chiusura perché l'accesso viene chiuso con una sbarra ed il parcheggio è situato oltre e non prima. Per questo motivo io non ho potuto visitare la chiesa perché, arrivato dopo le 11:30 ho fatto appena in tempo a vedere la porta che si chiudeva... amen. La visita è valsa comunque la pena per la bellissima vista panoramica a 360 gradi che si gode da questo sito. Not only the church but the whole area of the Sanctuary is not accessible during closing hours because access is closed with a bar and the parking is located beyond and not before. For this reason I was unable to visit the church because, after arriving after 11:30, I just had time to see the door closing ... amen. However, the visit was worth it for the beautiful 360 degree panoramic view that can be enjoyed from this site.
