Penalizzato un po' dalla strada bianca tutte buche Magical place that I did not know. Around the sanctuary there are also tables and chairs for sitting or eating in the shade. M	Mario Zaramella on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In Valle di San Genesio a poca strada da Stienta in aperta campagna troviamo il bel Santuario Madonna di San Genesio. In origine il piccolo oratorio venne edificato dove si trovava un antico possesso fondiario monastico ravennate. L’edificio è ad oggi divenuto ormai un rudere, ad esso è annessa la casa del custode. Quattro lesene con capitello dorico scandiscono la facciata dell’edificio e sostengono la trabeazione lineare. Il timpano è curvo con due acroteri globulari sui lati. Nella zona inferiore in linea con l’ingresso si apre un oculo circolare. L’interno della chiesa si presenta molto semplice, privo di decorazioni, e con due altari laterali. L’affresco oggetto di culto in questo luogo è la raffiguazione della Sacra Famiglia dipinto nei primi anni del ‘700 ma si ritiene che la sua origine sia più antica, databile attorno al XVII secolo. L’affresco è inquadrato in cornice in legno dorato con decorazioni in rilievo di cherubini e Dio Padre e dell’Annunciazione. Il ciclo dei Misteri del Rosario che incorniciava questa immagine è stato asportato e collocato nella sagrestia della chiesa parrocchiale di Stienta. In the San Genesio Valley, a short way from Stienta in the open countryside, we find the beautiful Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Genesio. Originally the small oratory was built where there was an ancient monastic possession of Ravenna. The building has now become a ruin, with the caretaker's house attached to it. Four pilasters with Doric capitals mark the facade of the building and support the linear entablature. The eardrum is curved with two globular acroterae on the sides. A circular oculus opens in the lower area in line with the entrance. The interior of the church is very simple, devoid of decorations, and with two side altars. The fresco object of worship in this place is the depiction of the Holy Family painted in the early 1700s but it is believed that its origin is more ancient, dating back to around the seventeenth century. The fresco is framed in a gilded wooden frame with relief decorations of cherubs and God the Father and the Annunciation. The cycle of the Mysteries of the Rosary that framed this image has been removed and placed in the sacristy of the parish church of Stienta.
