Too bad they keep it closed as usual. who knows poo because it is a shame. who makes so many kilometers to see it then there is a padlock .... shame shame.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il posto è bello, ma l'ho trovato chiuso. Facile da raggiungere e ideale per una piccola escursione. Bisogna informarsi in paese per farsi dare le chiavi o essere accompagnati... magari dovrebbero mettere questa informazione al primo cartello.
The place is nice, but I found it closed. Easy to reach and ideal for a small excursion. You have to inquire in the village to get the keys or be accompanied ... maybe they should put this information at the first sign.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Posto in fondo ad una valle boscosa l'eremo era probabilmente un punto di sosta per i viandanti diretti al Fucino o che da lì ritornavano percorrendo un diverticolo stradale che costeggiando a nord-ovest il colle di San Donato si ricollegava alla Claudia-Valeria. Lo si può visitare solo il martedì di Pasqua.
Placed at the bottom of a wooded valley, the hermitage was probably a stopping point for wayfarers heading for Fucino or returning from there along a road diverter that along north-west side the hill of San Donato was connected to Claudia-Valeria. It can only be visited on Easter Tuesday.
