★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questo eremo-santuario intitolato a Maria Santissima di Giubino è databile intorno al 1495. Della medesima epoca risulta essere il bassorilievo raffigurante la Vergine con il bambino ivi conservato.
L'eremo fu abitato dai Frati Minori Conventuali e dal Beato Arcangelo Placenza, nativo di Calatafimi, che qui dimorò prima da eremita, e poi da frate.
Si conserva ancora la grotta naturale in cui il Beato amava ritirarsi insolitudine, in preghiera ed in meditazione.
This hermitage-sanctuary named after Maria Santissima di Giubino dates back to around 1495. The bas-relief depicting the Virgin with the child kept there appears to be from the same period.
The hermitage was inhabited by the Friars Minor Conventual and by the Blessed Arcangelo Placenza, a native of Calatafimi, who lived here first as a hermit, and then as a friar.
It still preserves the natural cave in which the Blessed loved to withdraw in insolence, in prayer and in meditation.
