f	fra Arcangelo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questo piccolo tempietto, dedicato alla Madonna della Scala, è situato in cima alla montagna che sovrasta il golfo di Castellammare. Ed in realtà vi si accede dalla strada per mezzo di scale. La dedicazione a Maria Santissima è motivata dalla vicenda di una piccola fanciulla, una pastorella, che nell'anno 1641, mentre era sulla montagna a pascolare il suo gregge, fu colta da una violenta tempesta. La fanciulla trovò riparo in una grotta nella quale rinvenne una scatola di rame, con incisa una croce e la M di Maria, e che si scoprì poi contenere una croce d'argento. Contestualmente al ritrovamento della scatola, la violenta tempesta cessò. L'evento fu ritenuto di natura miracolosa ed allora venne costruito il tempietto dedicato a Maria Santissima della Scala che, come altri innumerevoli luoghi di devozione, testimonia l'ininterrotta presenza Mariana nel mondo e nella storia. Dall'alto della Chiesetta si può godere poi di un panorama spettacolare di Castellammare del Golfo. This small temple, dedicated to the Madonna della Scala, is located at the top of the mountain overlooking the Gulf of Castellammare. And in reality it is accessed from the road by stairs. The dedication to the Blessed Virgin Mary is motivated by the story of a little girl, a shepherdess, who in 1641, while he was on the mountain to graze his flock, was struck by a violent storm. The maiden found shelter in a cave in which unearthed a copper box, engraved with a cross and the M of Mary, and that it turned out to contain a silver cross. Simultaneously with the discovery of the box, the violent storm ceased. The event was considered a miraculous nature and then was built the temple dedicated to Our Lady of La Scala who, like countless other places of worship, bears witness to the uninterrupted presence Mariana in the world and in history. From the top of the church you can enjoy a spectacular view of Castellammare del Golfo.
