I contadini di allora, gente semplice e concreta, lo esigevano e ne erano orgogliosi.Oggi, se va bene, vi si costruisce una centrale di imbottigliamento di acqua minerale; nel peggio, nella fonte si buttano bottigliette di plastica o immondizia. Peccato che venga scambiato per un parchetto da pic-nic in estate , con tutto il chiasso conseguente !!! A fare il pic-nic si va sul Sesia , nelle aree attrezzate : al Santuario si deve portare rispetto : li si prega e si medita . A place of meditation and peace. L'ho trovata ben tenuta e abbellita dal filare di alberi che ornano l'ingresso. Da bambino ci ho giocato con i miei amici , li . Ricordo il bravo artista che costruiva la fontana esterna a mo' di tronchi e pali, e rimanevo li estasiato a guardare che incideva il cemento per ricavare la corteccia e i nodi dei tronchi. Sono felice di aver rivisto i miei luoghi d'infanzia. Ciao! I reviewed the fountain and the sanctuary after 63 years and it was like a homecoming after a long absence. I found it well kept and embellished by the row of trees that adorn the entrance. As a child I played with my friends there. I remember the good artist who built the external fountain by way of trunks and poles, and I remained entranced to watch him engrave the concrete to obtain the bark and knots of the trunks. I am happy to have reviewed my childhood places. Bye!

Spesso vi si tengono fiere e mercatini, soprattutto nei giorni di festa. La storia della Chiesa è molto importante e risale a molti secoli fa. Se si passa da San Nazzaro è un must! It is a really nice place to stop during a walk or a bike ride: there is a huge lawn, partly covered with some birch trees, but otherwise it is completely free. Fairs and markets are often held there, especially on holidays. The history of the Church is very important and goes back many centuries. If you pass by San Nazzaro it is a must!

All'origine del culto c'è una formella in cotto dipinto che ritrae la Madonna e il Bambino: nel 1500 era appesa ad un rovere e meta di pellegrinaggi. La sacralità di terra, acqua e albero suggeriscono una frequentazione di questo luogo già in epoca pre-cristiana. L'attuale edificio (in perfette condizioni) è della metà del 1700 evoluzione di un precedente piccolo oratorio. Conserva all'interno affreschi di scuola valsesiana dipinti dai Peracino padre e figlio e dall'Avondo. The church stands isolated, above a spring. At the origin of the cult there is a painted terracotta tile that portrays the Madonna and Child: in 1500 it was hung from an oak and a pilgrimage destination. The sacredness of earth, water and trees suggest that this place was already frequented in pre-Christian times. The current building (in perfect condition) dates back to the mid-1700s, an evolution of a previous small oratory. Inside it preserves frescoes from the Valsesian school painted by the father and son Peracinos and by the Avondo.
