★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First dinner in Venice, easy walk from Palazzo Stern Hotel. Nice outside seating with a view of the square. Good food and a fun place for people watching. Also, there must be three gelato places in the area, we tried a few and they were all great.

From what we observed, they had one standard of service ice you speak Italian, a lower standard if you speak English, and an even lower standing you speak German. The pasta was so-so but the calamari was almost inedible. It was very Chewy and was served with some squash that tasted like Styrofoam. Honestly, I've had better calamari at American chain restaurants. It was very disappointing.

Although the service was fine, the staff was a bit hasty and nearly rude. But fine for having a meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of outdoor seating under large umbrellas spills onto the piazza. There is a lot if pedestrian traffic passing by, but it is good for people watching. Service is adequate but the food is good. Prices are reasonable, for Venice.

Food was delicious (mussels appetizer and seafood risotto which came with two large plates of risotto so it was worth the cost). We had a great time here and did not experience any of the issues that others did in the bad reviews
