★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di Santa Maria del Pianto, conosciuta più come chiesa di Santa Maria del Torresino ochiesa del Torresino è un edificio religioso che chiude solennemente la strà del Vanzo ora via Seminario a Padova. La chiesa attuale, principiata nel 1718 secondo progetto di Gerolamo Frigimelica, sostituisce un più antico oratorio sorto accanto ad un "torresino", una torre della vecchia fortificazione intermedia poi demolita, che recava la raffigurazione della Vergine che intorno al 1450 compì alcuni miracoli. L'edificio è una delle più alte espressioni del tardobarocco veneto settecentesco. La chiesa è parrocchiale, appartenente al vicariato della Cattedrale.
 The church of Santa Maria del Pianto, better known as the church of Santa Maria del Torresino or the church of Torresino, is a religious building that solemnly closes the Via del Vanzo, now via Seminario in Padua. The present church, founded in 1718 according to a project by Gerolamo Frigimelica, replaces an older oratory built next to a "torresino", a tower of the old intermediate fortification which was then demolished, which depicted the Virgin who performed some miracles around 1450. The building is one of the highest expressions of 18th century Venetian late Baroque. The church is parish, belonging to the Vicariate of the Cathedral.

Essendo passata la prima volta di sabato pomeriggio alle 17 e trovandolo chiusa, sono riuscita a passare anche un sabato mattina e l'ho trovata semiaperta.
Possiede un bello stile semplice, peccato averlo visto solo dalle grate.
La ragazza alla reception della struttura seminaristica non ha saputo rispondere a delle domande riguardanti la chiesa.
The church of Santa Maria in Vanzo has a very elongated facade upwards.
Having passed the first time on Saturday afternoon at 5 pm and finding it closed, I managed to pass even on a Saturday morning and found it half-open.
It has a nice simple style, a pity to have seen it only from the gratings.
The girl at the reception desk of the seminar facility was unable to answer questions regarding the church.
