S	SARA v. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un santuario ricco di spiritualità in cui si venera il culto mariano patrona dell' autostrada del sole, un miscuglio di credenze che parte dal paganesimo: al culto della regina madre evidenziato dalla raffigurazione pre cristiana di una regina in abiti babilonesi. Questo santuario oltre che di spiritualità e anche carico di mistero e una leggenda narra che sia miracolosamente traslato dal cielo come un astronave dal comune di Asciano direttamente alle vertighe, causa di un litigio tra fratelli almeno la parte più antica, è un santuario molto frequentato dalla gente della zona , ed è anche il più antico di queste parti si parla che le sue origini risalgono addirittura al 1100 . Come spesso accade per i siti pieni di misticismo, regala un senso di pace e serenità, se vi trovate nei pressi di monte sansavino merita una visita, tra le altre cose è praticamente a poche decine di metri dal casello autostradale. Non abbiamo evidenziato particolari impedimenti per alcune tipologie di disabilità. Da non perdere assolutamente la festa mariana che si celebra il 15 di agosto molto frequentata dai locali e da turisti che raggiunge il suo apice con lo spettacolo notturno di fuochi artificiali. Si narra che la nicchia raffigurante la Madonna seduta in trono ed incoronata,un tempo nel comune di Asciano, sia stata trasportata qui miracolosamente La gente dei posto ritiene miracolosa qust immagine la cui festa(rinomtissima)si celebra il l 15 agosto. La domenica e i festivi dalle 7.30 alle 12.45 e dalle 15.30 alle 19.45. Ce un'apertura serale dalle 21.30 alle 22.45, per la preghiera del Santo Rosario e la Compieta... Luogo con un ampio spazio esterno, ideale per la preghiera e meditazione... ??? Le sue origini risalgono al 1000/1100. La Madonna in questa chiesa è stata nominata Patrona dell'autostrada del sole da Papa Paolo VI nel 1964. Ha tre navate. La cappella contiene il coro,l'organo ed è affrescata. L'immagine su tavola,è stata dipinta da Margheritone di Arezzo nel 1500. Il loggiato esterno è stato eretto( da colonne esagonali di mattoni )per proteggere i pellegrini dalle intemperie. Il campanile a torre è attribuito ad Andrea Contucci detto il Sansovino.
